Katy Perry is in talks to headline the 2017 BRIT Awards when the annual celebration of British and international music returns on February 22.
The Sun report that Katy, 32, is in advanced negotiations to take a prominent role at the 37th edition of the prestigious ceremony, held at London’s cavernous O2 Arena.
Should the American singer agree terms she will join an elite group of international stars to feature at the annual event – amongst them Kanye West, Madonna and pop icon Prince.

The X Factor lead, 43, and the 40-year-old brunette both revealed they were delighted to be fronting the awards show next month - and said their thoughts were with Buble, who pulled out following his son's cancer diagnosis.
'Firstly, my immediate thoughts and prayers are with Michael and his family at such a difficult time,' said Dermot.
'Michael is an effortless show man, so those patent shoes will not be easy to fill, but it's an honour to be asked to step in with Emma to host the BRITs.

It will be the first time both Dermot and Emma take on hosting duties for the show - the last two editions were fronted by Ant & Dec with James Cordon fronting the event for the four years before that.
'The BRITs is an iconic show that I've watched and attended many times,' added Dermot.
'It's a holy grail for a broadcaster, and I'm really looking forward to working with Emma, who I'm a big fan of, and celebrating a brilliant year of British music.'
Dynamic duo: Dermot O'Leary and Emma Willis have been announced as the hosts of this year's BRIT Awards 2017
