Donald Trump slams decision to halt immigration order

UPDATED Donald Trump has continued to slam a federal judge's move to temporarily halt his immigration ban, warning that 'many very bad and dangerous people may be pouring into our country'. He said it was a 'terrible decision' in a tweet posted just hours after the department of Homeland Security announced it would stop enforcing the executive order. The State Department also reversed the cancellations of visas for foreigners after Judge James Robart's controversial ruling on Friday. The decision by the veteran jurist, who was nominated by George W. Bush in 2004, temporarily halted Trump's order banning travelers and immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries. On Saturday afternoon, after playing a round at the Trump International Golf Club near his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Trump tweeted: 'Because the ban was lifted by a judge, many very bad and dangerous people may be pouring into our country. A terrible decision. His post followed on from a tirade of tweets he posted in the morning, warning that re-opening borders to the countries affected by the ban could lead to 'death and destruction'.

Neglected dog with a mop of dirty matted gets a hair cut

A neglected dog whose matted ball of dirty fur made her breed unidentifiable has had a haircut and given a name as the RSPCA launch an investigation into how she ended up resembling a 'dirty mop'. The tiny shih tzu has been named Rosie and was handed into a veterinary practice in Bury after she was found by a member of the public. In addition to her overgrown coat her flesh was covered in deep wounds and her skin was bleeding. Rosie is thought to be aged between three and six-years-old, had no microchip or ID tag when she was handed in to vets.

Newfoundland is awash with things that make TV presenter, Penny Smith (pictured) happy. She praises its puffins, icebergs, whales, bald eagles and miles of unspoiled coastline.

A koala has been captured on camera running along a busy street in Adelaide. The koala is said to have travelled down the road for about 100 metres before a police officer stopped to usher it off the road.

BEES stop play! Cricket international delayed for 30 minutes as players and umpires dive to the ground after a huge swarm invades the South African ground

South Africa's 'pink' one-day international against Sri Lanka encountered an unexpected hazard when a swarm of bees interrupted play for almost half an hour at the Wanderers. The hosts, who took the field wearing the pink strip used annually in aid of charitable causes, were held up three times in all when the bees flew into Johannesburg. Players on both teams fell to the floor in evasive action during Sri Lanka's innings - but when the swarm moved in for a third time and showed no sign of a quick exit, officials decided it was time to call for the experts.
