They've been sharing cheeky glimpses of their Tenerife holiday on their social media accounts. 

But eager fans will have to wait another month for the brand new series of TOWIE to hit our screens.

And by the looks of the new trailer, it looks to be an explosive one- with Megan and McKenna and Pete Wicks having it out, the boys posing for a topless photoshoot and the cast having a wild time in Tenerife.

The TOWIE Xmas special saw Megan and Pete reunite but it it looks like things didn't continue onto smooth pastures.

'You wanna be single? You wanna be single then!' Megan is seen shrieking at Pete in extra shrill tones as they lounge on a luxurious cabana. 

Pete is pictured looking dumb-founded, as the scene cuts to the cast partying it up in Tenerife.

Meanwhile Chloe Sims is seen hoovering grass (as you do), while Diags and Dan Edgar get very raunchy as they take part in a steamy topless photoshoot.

Tommy Mallett and girlfriend Georgia Kousoulou appear to be going strong as they give a talk at a local school, and Montell Jordan's This Is How We Do It is the theme tune of the series.

And new girl- blonde bombshell Amber Turner makes her debut appearance as the group enjoy a raucous time of parties, holidays and tiffs.

Gemma Collins also makes an appearance trying her hand at a trapeze class.

Things took a dramatic turn for Gemma Collins on Tuesday, as she was admitted to hospital in Tenerife just two days before her 36th birthday celebrations. 

The bubbly blonde appeared devastated by the event as she uploaded the photo, which appeared to see her lying on a hospital bed, for her fans.

Explaining the situation, she wrote: 'Thankyou for all your lovely messages sadly Im in hospital In Tenerife but hope to be on the mend soon,' followed by a teary emoji.

Adding to her sadness, she finished the message on an even more melancholy note as she wrote: 'What a way to spend your birthday.'

The star is currently spending time on the Canary Island with a host of her ITVBe co-stars, in order to film explosive scenes for the upcoming series.

However, the trip coincided with her 36th birthday on Thursday, which the Essex lass had planned to celebrate with a glamorous night out while away.

Fans immediately flocked to her social media page to wish her well in light of the unlucky event, with one writing: 'Get well soon chick' as another added: 'Hope you get better soon and can celebrate your birthday in style!'

It was clearly something of a bad day for Gemma however - as Loose Women host Carol McGiffin had unleashed a scathing attack on the blonde earlier that day.

In her latest column for New magazine, the 56-year-old unleashed a shocking tirade towards the reality stalwart - which branded her an 'egomaniac horror who believes her own hype'.

Carol made her feelings clear in her piece as she wrote: 'What’s happened to Gemma Collins? When first on TOWIE, she was the roly-poly girl that everyone loved.

'Now a professional reality TV ‘star’, she’s turned into an egomaniac horror who believes her own hype- an insufferable, arrogant, bad-tempered attention-seeker.' 

Gemma soared to fame in 2011 when she joined the ITVBe show in its second series, while still working as a car dealer, where she won over viewers with her larger-than-life persona and hilarious one liners - making Carol's outburst more shocking. 

While the reason behind her hospital visit remains unknown, the reality star was recently seen collapsing with fatigue during a recent episode of Sugar Free Farm. 

Gemma was left in such a state after her fruitless attempts of fishing, that she threw herself into the back of a truck and collapsed through sheer exhaustion. 

The star had appeared on the ITV show in a bid to combat her sugar intake and battle with yo-yo dieting.

Upon arriving at the farm, she admitted to viewers: 'My lifestyle is out of control. The amount of money I spend on takeaways, I could probably buy a house by now.'

However the beauty was later caught out by fellow star on the series Joe Pasquale - who recently revealed on Loose Women that Gemma often 'cheated' and indulged in 'midnight snacks' away from the watchful eye of the show experts.

First joking that she was a 'pig', the comedian, 55, explained of her time on the show: 'Gemma… well Gemma’s Gemma.'

'She didn’t do a lot. She slept a lot. It’s TV gold but it’s not my bag.'

Discussing her eating habits, the father-of-five continued: 'She did lose weight but there was a lot of midnight snacks – cheating – she went down and cooked a load of stuff in the middle of the night'.
