He went on: 'I’m very happy with what I’m making, and then I hear what the other dudes are making and think, 'Hang on a second!''

The 2017 Granny Awards will air live on CBS and Corden told THR.com he won't brook any dissent from Kanye West should the rapper choose to interrupt one of the winners as he is wont to do.

'I’ll take him down. He will hit the floor quicker than he has ever known,' Corden said.

Slef-depracating: Asked if he is 'the lowest paid talk show host on network TV?' the British TV personality responded: 'I cannot imagine there is one paid less'

Still, the TV host acknowledges that he has just a small role to play in the big music awards.

'I’m only in the show for 17 minutes or so, across the four hours. My intention is to make it fun before it’s funny,' he explained.

Corden has plenty of experience hosting live award shows - he hosted the Emmys in Los Angeles this past September and the Tony Awards in New York last June.

Corden, who hosted the Tony Awards and the Emmys in 2016, will host the live telecast of the Grammys on February 12 on CBS
