Clintons arrive at Trump inauguration
Defeated Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton take their seats at the US Capitol for Donald Trump's presidential inauguration.
The former US secretary of state, who lost the presidential election to Trump last year, took to her Twitter account to explain why she decided to attend the ceremony, in her capacity as the wife of a former president.
"I'm here today to honour our democracy & its enduring values," Clinton tweeted. "I will never stop believing in our country & its future."

Clinton attended the ceremony alongside husband, former president Bill Clinton, after the couple announced they would be present earlier this month, shortly after former president George W Bush and wife Barbara confirmed their attendance.
She wore a white pantsuit, with a cashmere coat designed by Ralph Lauren, the same designer who created the outfit worn by the wife of the new president, Melania Trump.
Clinton was spotted talking with outgoing First Lady Michelle Obama and wife of outgoing Vice President Joe Biden, Jill Biden, prior to the ceremony kicking off.
Fans of the former Democratic candidate responded to the message with a mix of praise for her grace in defeat and upset that she was not the one being sworn in.
"Should have been you Mrs Clinton," wrote Twitter user Emma Kennedy.
"She is the definition of dignity. Smiling, head held high, a true patriot," remarked Leela Daou.

It's a good time to remember that Hillary Clinton got more votes than any white man in history. Or any orange one. #WomensMarchOnWashington

Hillary Clinton should push Donald Trump aside, put her hand on the Bible and take the oath of office. #InaugurationDay

An example of strength and class that made me cry: @HillaryClinton having to show up today as a former First Lady. Get that woman a martini.
