Volkswagen is getting its own 250-car wolf pack.
The Volkswagen Passat Alltrack is the latest model from the German car maker to get the Wolfsburg treatment.
But what is Wolfsburg? It is an homage to the location of Volkswagen's global headquarters, and the world's largest automotive manufacturing plant.
The Wolfsburg edition for the Passat crossover wagon includes 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, taillights and daytime running lights, paddle shifters, an auto tailgate and adaptive chassis control.
Interior touches unique to the Wolfsburg edition include a black headliner, aluminum dash inserts, black centre console, while the exterior scores some Wolfsburg crest badging.
To step into the Wolfsburg edition will cost you $54,990 driveaway, which is $4200 more than the standard Passat Alltrack.
Propulsion comes from the same 140kW/400Nm 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine and is mated to a six-speed DSG transmission with power pushed to all four wheels.
