Andie’s sense of fun and her sensuality inspire people the world over

Steven Soderbergh’s film, Sex, Lies and Videotape won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1989. Andie played the leading role and won the best actress award at the Los Angeles Film Critics Awards for the role. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in Four Weddings and a Funeral in 1993. The same year, she played in Groundhog Day with Bill Murray and starred opposite other great actors such as Michael Keaton in Multiplicity and John Travolta in Michael. In 1998 she starred in The End of Violence, by Wim Wenders. Extremely talented, Andie MacDowell has pursued a well-balanced career. She has just finished shooting Mighty Fine with her daughter, Rainey Qualley. Andie will soon be on screen in a remake of Footloose.

A spectacular rise to stardom

Andie MacDowell is a world renowned actress. In 1978 she began a modelling career with Elite. She was remarked in the Calvin Klein campaign and in 1984 received her dream offer: a film role - in Greystoke, the legend of Tarzan.
