Martin Guptill won't be available for the Black Caps to meet Australia in Hamilton on Sunday.

Martin Guptill's hamstring injury will keep him out of the final one-day series cricket match against Australia in Hamilton on Sunday.

The New Zealand limited-overs opener wouldn't have played in Thursday's abandoned match in Napier after picking up the injury in the Black Caps' series-opening win at Eden Park on Monday.

After training in Hamilton today, Guptill was ruled out of the final match in the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy series, with Northern Districts batsman Dean Brownlie to take his place as was due to be the case at McLean Park.

The hosts at Seddon Park are likely to make a change to the playing XI with leg-spinner Ish Sodhi expected to gain a start on his home track after coming into the squad for the match. New Zealand lead the series 1-0 but need to win the final encounter on Sunday to take the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy off the holders.
