A murder investigation is under way, and police are hunting a killer, after a man died of head wounds in a Melbourne shopping centre car park.
A morning exercise group found the fatally injured man in a lift well at the Westfield Doncaster shopping centre soon after 6am on Friday morning.

A gym instructor and members of the Heavy Haulers boot camp made the grisly discovery in a car park and contacted emergency authorities.
It appeared the man's throat had been slashed.
Members of the public and emergency crews attempted to to revive the man, but he died at the scene.
Police on Friday afternoon said homicide detectives were leading the investigation into the suspicious death.
Investigators have examined the shopping centre's CCTV footage in an attempt to determine the killer's identity.
The circumstances surrounding the man's death remained unclear on Friday afternoon, but there was reportedly a trail of blood on both sides of the footpath leading to the car park.
Forensic police were photographing the trail.
A post to the Heavy Haulers' Facebook page said the man's body was found only 40 metres from where the training session was being held.
"Unfortunately despite the attempts from our team and members, he was unable to be revived and passed away," it read.
"RIP to the poor bloke and condolences to his family."
The man was not known to the group members.
A spokeswoman for Westfield said it was a police matter and that the company would not be making any comment.
She said the centre had traded as normal, although a section of the car park had been closed at the request of police.
