They've long been loyal residents of New York City.

But Beyonce and Jay Z will be raising their three kids - they already have Blue Ivy, aged five, and she just announced she is pregnant with twins - in Los Angeles.

According to People, the 35-year-old pop sensation and her 47-year-old rapper husband, like the Southern California city because of the 'quiet and privacy.'

'Beyoncé and Jay Z seem serious about living in L.A. full time,' said one insider to the publication.

Things are serious enough for the Blue Ivy's parents to be touring selective kindergartens for their first born.

Though they're both superstars, Beyonce and Jay Z, who've been together for nine years, seem to be planning for a very family-oriented existence as well.

'When Beyonce and Jay Z are not working, they live a very quiet life in L.A. They seem to prefer private gatherings to public outings,' added the same source.

While they have always maintained a presence in Los Angeles, it seems the couple is also looking for new digs perhaps better suited for three children.

According to another source, the famous duo are 'actively looking for the perfect house for their expanding family.'
