Fall (back) into the Gap! Supermodel Naomi Campbell leads cast of stars in fun throwback campaign for the brand which pays homage to its beloved ads from the '90s

  • Gap is launching a limited-edition '90s Archive Re-Issue with a few favorite styles from the decade
  • To celebrate, the brand's new ads are styled like the iconic ones from the '90s, and Naomi is back wearing the same style of T-shirt she donned in 1992
  • Famous offspring join her, including Rumer Willis, Evan Ross, Lizzy Jagger, Chelsea Tyler, and TJ Mizell

Gap's simple, sing-along commercials were as much of a TV staple in the '90s as the brand's effortlessly cool T-shirts and jeans were in everyone's wardrobe — which is why Gap is throwing it back to the decade with its new collection and corresponding campaign.

Launching February 7, Gap's limited-edition '90s Archive Re-Issue will include iconic styles like the bodysuit, reverse fit and easy fit denim, pleated khakis, and the pocket tee.

And to ring the new collection in in style, Gap has cast ad alum Naomi Campbell in the new campaign, dressing her in the same pocket tee and she wore in 1992.

Back again: Naomi Campbell stars in Gap's new campaign for its re-issue of '90s classics

Throwback: She first appeared in a campaign for the brand in 1992 and wore the same style of shirt in her new ad

Cool kids: She is joined by a cast of famous offspring this time around

Joining Naomi are Rumer Willis, model Lizzy Jagger, singer Coco Gordon Moore, Hunger Games actor Evan Ross, Lyz Tyler's sister Chelsea Tyler, and DJ (and son of Jam Master Jay of Run DMC) TJ Mizell.

The new class of Gap models look ripped straight out of ads past, showing off easy ensembles of blue jeans, denim jackets, hoodies, and tees.

What's more, the first commercial they star in will have anyone who watches feeling nostalgic for the originals, in which models sang songs like Mellow Yellow, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and Just Can't Get enough while standing and lounging around.

Groove to it: In the commercial, the group sings Color Me Badd's All 4 Love

"'The '90s are having a sartorial moment and we have an archive of pieces that set the tone for that decade commercially and culturally, so it seemed right to re-issue some of those pieces and the stories that come with them,' said Craig Brommers, chief marketing officer for Gap, in a press release. '[The campaign] came together in a celebration of who was with us then and who we are with now — it has, at its heart, that simple truth that we can take from the past but also celebrate our future.'

Naomi, who back after posing with legendary photographer Steven Meisel 25 years ago, said it is an 'honor' to be a part of the new campaign.

'The creativity in the '90s is something I'm so grateful that I got to be a part of and to see and to learn from and to draw inspiration from,' she said.

Next generation: Rumer Willis looks a lot like her mom Demi Moore in the ads

Oldschool: Demi posed for Gap back in the '90s too

Speaking to Vogue.com, she also reminisced about the differences between shooting this ad and the one she was in two and a half decades ago.

'Back in the day, the '90s shoots were just done on a much smaller scale,' she said. She also talked about the fashion, saying: 'What's great about these simple jeans and tees is that they are basics that will never go away and are just constants in all of our lives. I've always loved the cardis too, all of it is just comfortable.'

She added that she was excited on set to see Rumer and Evan, because she knows their parents — Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, and Diana Ross — well.

The newcomers were pumped too — including Jerry Hall's daughter Lizzy Jagger, who wears a black bodysuit.

Gap is returning to the '90s aesthetic and bringing back some old styles

'The classic look for anyone is not just a '90's look. The white t-shirt and jeans look has gone through the decades and is still around, and I think of that as being really Gap,' she said.

The other models are all offspring of famous parents, including Evan Ross, the son of Diana Ross.

'Gap can transcend all eras. It still feels relevant. It looks like what we would be wearing right now... it is at the cusp of what we're doing right now,' he said.

'My mom always bought me Gap clothes… we definitely went to the Gap for my cool clothes,' added Kim Gordon's daughter Coco.

Rumer Willis also followed in her mom Demi Moore's footsteps. Demi posed for the brand back in 1990
