Can't nobody hold him down! Sean 'Diddy' Combs vows to defy doctors' predictions as he undergoes yet another knee surgery

He may be a Bad Boy For Life but he is also fast become a hospital frequent flyer.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs underwent a knee surgery - his third surgery in 12 months - but he is determined to run again, despite what doctors have said.

The 47-year-old rapper posted a number of pictures on Instagram form his hospital room on Thursday as he recovers from going under the knife - again.

While he has long declared himself a Bad Boy, he is clearly a big softy with the star sharing a a snap of himself snuggling up to a teddy bear given to him presumably by his three little girls, 10-year-olds D'Lila, Jessie and Chance.

On an image snapped by the twins and their half sister, Diddy told fans: 'Just had my final knee surgery. 

'They said I'd never run again. I SAID THE DEVIL IS A LIAR.!! 3 surgeries in one year! 3rd times a the charm!!! #Rebirth don't take the simple things in life for granted. Thank you to all the surgeons and docs and PTs.'

Diddy was also visited by his older boys Justin, 23, and Christian, 18, who he praised for helping him through this tough period.

'I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have my sons by my side these last two years! They have been more than sons they have been my support system.'

Diddy - who received flowers from fellow rapper French Montana - also credited God for giving him the strength to not accept his first diagnoses.

'God puts us all thru things for reason. It's up to us to learn through the things that he puts us through! Sometimes you have to go through the pain to get to the joy. This journey has brought me closer to God. Closer to my family. And most importantly closer to myself. As this has been God's will. '

Trying to make others who are also in hospital feel better he said: 'And a special shout out to everybody who's laid up in a hospital right now my prayers are with you you're not alone god bless and keep fighting! SAVE ME A DANCE! All LOVE!!!! IM DOING GREAT BY THE WAY! Thank you.'

His knee is also not the only thing causing him trouble, with the singer having rotator cuff surgery for the fourth time last year.

The star was forced to delay his Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour so he could fully recover from the shoulder surgery.
