And Ben Higgins moved swiftly on Wednesday to dismiss claims his relationship with Lauren Bushnell's is on the verge of disintegration.

It was claimed in Us Weekly that while the reality stars are still together, 'they don't get along' and 'a breakup has been coming for awhile.'

However he took to Instagram to quash the speculation, saying: 'No need to respond often to rumors or "fake news" but the feeling I have in this picture is the same feeling I have for this girl today.

'We have entered into a world where rumors will exist we know that, but just know as @laurenbushnell celebrates her birthday tomorrow I am still extremely lucky to be able to share life with her and be by her side.

Us Weekly's insider had claimed said that while 'he's a great guy' the engaged twosome 'should split.'

They also added that Lauren has 'told people how hard it is.'

Speculation on the status of their relationship became the focus after Lauren enjoyed two trips without Ben: a girls trip to Nashville last month and to Mexico on Monday.

Lauren and Ben did put a brake on their wedding plans, as seen in a November episode of their reality show Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After.

During a therapy session, Ben, who called Lauren the 'woman of my dreams,' admitted to her that he's not yet ready to tie the knot.

Lauren tearfully asked: 'So you're saying the wedding is off? to which Ben answers, 'Yes I am. The wedding's off.'

The beauty told him she felt 'blindsided,' even though Ben said he still wants to marry her in the future.
