It seems that every reality show now hopes to marry up its contestants, and we're not talking about Married At First Sight.
Even in the jungle of South Africa, television producers are relishing the ability to promote a budding romance between singles Ash Pollard, of My Kitchen Rules fame, and model/TV presenter Kris Smith, aka Dannii Minogue's ex.

Flume takes out top spot in this year's Triple J Hottest 100, Nicole Kidman's Lion and Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge nab six Oscar nominations each and police arrest actor Shia LaBeouf at an anti-Trump art exhibition.
It all began on Monday night, with Pollard's excitement at Smith swinging in as a late edition to the jungle vines: "In comes a single hottie, with muscly arms."
And the girls' pow-wow over Smith quickly turned from romance to dirty talk.
"Give it a crack, C'mon," said former Miss Universe Australia, Tegan Martin, who wouldn't be dissuaded by Pollard's "shut up" dismissal by going on to say, "He might have an elephant (donger)."

But Pollard clearly had something more long-term in mind. She privately joked to ex-Olympian Lisa Curry and Martin on Tuesday night's episode that she was going to make Smith "an engagement ring".
In what promoters have dubbed as "Ash making her move", the once-amateur chef offered to make Smith a bracelet but the hungry Brit got confused over her offer.
"A bagel? Oh bangle! I thought you said you would make me a bagel. I'd love a bangle please."
In terms of flirtation, it was about as warm as a soggy bagel in a tropical jungle. But that won't stop Channel Ten from trying to entice viewers to stay tuned for this "jungle romance".
And if tele-editors thought the dirty talk was over, it instead developed between a surprising pair.
"When was the last time you had a tongue in your mouth Pricey?" asked comedic host Julia Morris.
"Too long darl, too long," Price admitted. Wonder what wife Wendy Black thought of that.
"Standing by as always, just so you know," quipped a married Morris.
But it is not only Ten trying to play matchmaker. Channel Seven's MKR has jumped on the bandwagon this season, with their promotions teams also focusing on the potential romance blossoming between bearded bromantic Kyle and serial flirt Bek.
So it seems Ten's other survivalist dating series (no, not The Bachelor) may have a lot to answer for after it became evident that two finalists had formed a relationship.
Australian Survivor's Lee Carseldine and El Rowland proved that love could be found even in the most unlikely of reality shows, and now every network is hoping to unearth unscripted romance.
