The 18-year-old daughter of former president Barack Obama mingled with the cast of the HBO series and a number of celebrities at the star-studded bash in New York on Thursday night. While the aspiring filmmaker didn't walk the red carpet at the Lincoln Center, she was spotted making her surprise appearance at the HBO-hosted after party at New York's famed Cipriani. Party guests were said to have been fawning over the former first daughter.

Long Island farm owner and businessman, Steven Mezynieski, seen left in a mugshot, has been accused of repeatedly raping his underage niece for three years from 2012 to 2014, according to a lawsuit. Mezynieski (right center), who was arrested and charged with sexual assault last August, has entered a not guilty plea and maintains his innocence. The teen girl says in the civil lawsuit filed in Suffolk County Supreme Court that the 44-year-old first sexually assaulted her when she was 15 years old. The girl says the abuse started when she went on vacation with Mezynieski to Punta Gorda, Florida. One incident allegedly took place at his farm, Driftwood Farms, a property (inset) he purchased for $2million with his wife. Mezynieski also owns an excavation company that helped rebuild many of the dunes protecting multi-million dollar homes along the oceanfront, following the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. If convicted, Mezynieski faces 25 years in prison.

A video clip of President Donald Trump's granddaughter singing in Mandarin to celebrate Lunar New Year has gone viral in China. The clip posted by Trump's daughter Ivanka, after their visit to Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C., shows 5-year-old Arabella Kushner wishing a happy new year while playing with a traditional Chinese puppet. The video has been viewed over 18 million times on Chinese social media website Weibo since being uploaded to Ivanka's Instagram page on Thursday.

Margaret Gorsuch (right), 83, of Denver, Colorado, has known stepson Neil since he was a teenager, and was married to his lawyer father David until his death 15 years ago. An Illinois realtor and Trump supported was fired over a nasty Twitter exchange with comedian Patton Oswalt. Tony Brust tweeted at 48-year-old Oswalt after he showed his support for Acting Attorney General Sally Yates. Brust mentioned Oswalt's wife, who passed away suddenly in October. The realtor was fired on the same day.

Back in 2013, Deutsche Bank filed a foreclosure lawsuit against Stephen and his wife, Kennya, accusing them of failing to make payments on their loan on the house. Last year, the bank pleaded for the green light to begin the foreclosure process and to force the actor to pay his current debt owed on the mortgage, which had snowballed into a whopping $1.1 million - plus interest.

A Florida man says he was left with no choice but to drive his truck over another man's car, after a road rage incident threatened to turn deadly while his young son and girlfriend were in the truck with him. The scene unfolded around noon on Wednesday when Adalberto Aponte (top left) allegedly began driving his Toyota Camry erratically, almost causing several crashes. Police say Aponte leaped out of the car and attacked Zach Waring (pictured top right with the girlfriend) at a stoplight, and Waring drove his truck over the Camry in response.

Karl Vernon Williams, 36, is charged with assault after he is seen on video charging into a school bus and slapping a 16-year-old teen he accuses of 'messing with' his stepdaughter. The teen reported the incident when he got home and his mother called police. Williams faces various charges including assault and interfering with the operation of a school bus.

Rhode Island state legislator Moira Walsh, 26, was dismissed from her job at Classic Cafe in Providence, after her boss said her 'vocal political discussions' were interfering with her work. Australian group the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 posted the image of six pot plants on its Facebook page on Friday - the question is can you spot which one has a snake hiding in it? Fatima Larios died by suicide on January 31, 2015 at the age of 19. She ended her life in her abusive boyfriend's dorm room in Chadron, Nebraska. Parents Lisette Larios Roohbakhsh and Nelson Larios filed the case in against the university in U.S. District Court. It alleges Chadron State did not follow proper protocol for dealing with sexual violence.

WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT A Chinese teenager died today after being thrown out of a malfunctioned swing ride mid-air at an amusement park. The accident occurred at Fengdu County in south-west China's Chongqing city this afternoon, according to local media. The girl, 14, was pronounced dead at the People's Hospital in Fengdu County after failed resuscitation attempts, reports said.

Christa Shockley, 21, was found shot dead at an EZ Mart in Fouke, Arkansa where she worked at 2am on Thursday. A few hours later, cops arrested a 12-year-old boy for her murder. The pre-teen is not being identified, due to his age. He faces a charge of capital murder and aggravated robbery. Sources told a local news outlet that the suspect has autism.

His father Jay (top right) immediately remote-locked the phone and left a message on it asking for it be returned given it contained the precious memories. Jay and his partner Karla Sherman (bottom right before boy's death) didn't hear anything until this week when he received a call from a Craigslist buyer saying he had the phone (inset). While the phone was wiped clean, police were told the story and remembered they had taken files from the phone during drowning investigation.

NEW The Hubble Space Telescope has captured the death of a sun-like star, a striking nebula known as the 'Rotten Egg.' In the image, the star is seen shooting its outer layers of gas and dust into space as it transforms from a red giant to a planetary nebula. As the process happens rapidly, 'within just the blink of an eye,' the astronomers say catching a star in this phase of evolution is extremely rare.

In a new video, an extreme downhill skater is seen falling from at least 15 feet in the air before painfully crushing his tailbone into the hard, frozen ice. At first the skater looks like he is in control. He jumps over a dip and lands below with grace before pushing onward at what looks like a terrifying speed.

A number of people in Pennsylvania have been treated to an awe-inspiring sight of so-called light pillars seemingly shooting up from the ground all the way up to the horizon and beyond. Vertical beams of bright light, reminiscent of columns, were captured by over the couple of night, and the stunning images were quickly shared on social media. Experts say the effect is an atmospheric optical illusion. The phenomenon occurs when natural or artificial light is reflected from ice crystals floating close to the ground.

The daredevil completed his dives without any breathing equipment, known as freediving. Footage from the camera shows the 42-year-old exploring a plane wreck before diving 65 feet below the surface to sit on top of a submarine wreck.

Streets in the city of Mazatlan in Mexico were flooded after a shark tank at an aquarium cracked and released torrents of water. Around 30 inches of glass detached, causing the tank to burst and water to gush into the streets. A total of 13 sharks and various other fish were located in the tanks and were successfully transferred to new tanks.
