Owned since new?

Yes

Owned for how long?

3 year(s)

Buy this make again?

No

Price and equipment3.0/10

At the time of buying this car the pricing was fine(they have reduced greatly in price since),it had alot of bling for a commercial based car, but it has been badly let down by terrible build quality

Under the bonnet2.0/10

performs well enough, but very noisy and harsh,i could happily live with its short comings as it is based on the Triton commercial ute, let down badly by being in the workshop for repairs most of the time

How it drives4.0/10

i would give it another star if it didn't have a cyclic driveline vibration that greatly spoils what could be a nice drive

Comfort and practicality4.0/10

i give it 4 stars for practicality as it sure holds alot in the cargo area, and the split rear seats(6-7)are the right mix of comfort for kids and practical in being able tuck into the floor without taking up much roombut comfort is let down by the driveline vibration and poor air conditioning

Servicing and running costs1.0/10

ive had mitsubishi for 20 years and they have all been brilliant in terms of running costs and reliability, but with this challenger it is a nightmare, always in the service department for warranty issues and its 90000Km service came in at $2300

Aesthetics and styling7.0/10

this is one of the things i do like about the car, its not for everybody but i like it.

Safety and security2.0/10

this car comes with all the latest safety gear but it is very badly implemented, airbag issues have plagued this model, poorly programed TC and ESC, constant random loss of power issues, transmission locks in second gear on hot days or when towing due too the cooling system not being able to cope with australian conditions

Quality and reliability1.0/10

just terrible!!SRS air bag issues,-Parts falling off(wiper washer bottle,Front grill, interior panels),- Driveline vibrations,- reworking of connectors,- unblocking of hoses, sensors, inlet tubes,- Engine mounts replaced,-tail shaft replaced,-Stop lamp switch replaced,-reclining seat switches replaced,-Interior of car stripped for replacement of all SRS wiring looms,-Turbo replaced,-Communication system replaced,_Cam angle sensor replaced,-camshaft sensor replaced,-Balance shaft engine seal replaced,All of this was done under warranty but a huge inconvenience to me

Overall verdict1.0/10

car still has random loss of power issues,Auto transmission locks in second gear on hot days or when towingAir conditioner shuts down on days of 35degs and above.driveline vibrationTraction control does not workscratches and chips all over the interior due to it being pulled apart so many times
