Usain has never raced in Australia, and will debut with a group of handpicked athletes from Jamaica and the United States.
'This will be track and field as it’s never been seen before and that’s why I’m involved, not only as a competitor, but also as a team captain,' he said in a statement.
Usian mentioned he jumped at the chance to join the new series as a competitor as he believes it's a format never done before.
The format features a mix of power, endurance and team events in sprints, distance and field disciplines, with teams from England, New Zealand, Japan and China also competing.

In recent weeks Usain lost his 2008 Beijing Olympics 4x100 metres gold medal after his Jamaican team-mate Nesta Carter tested positive for a banned stimulant.
The International Olympic Committee ordered Carter, who has already said he would appeal the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and team-mates Bolt, Asafa Powell and Michael Frater to return their medals.
Usain has not announced Nesta Carter as part of his Bolt All-Stars team in Melbourne, but Asafa Powell and Michael Frater are due to join him in the series.
Tickets are still available for the separate February dates online.
