Donald Trump has taken to social media to claim that Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull corrected the public record on "Fake news" reports of a diplomatic dust up between the American and Australian leaders.
Mr Trump tweeted on Friday: "Thank you to Prime Minister of Australia for telling the truth about our very civil conversation that FAKE NEWS media lied about. Very nice!"
