WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT: Brendan McCarthy, 47, from Wolverhampton, allegedly committed the offences at Dr Evil's Body Modification Emporium. He was arrested in December 2015 after concerns over his lack of medical qualifications, the unsuitability of his salon and unregulated actions. McCarthy appeared at Walsall Magistrates' Court  today charged with three counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and three alternative counts of wounding without intent. The charges relate to Ezechiel Lott and two other unnamed customers.

Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 posted the image of six pot plants on its Facebook page on Friday - the question is can you spot which one has a snake hiding in it? It seems hard to fathom but one of the plants in the picture has a 1.8m carpet python wrapped around it. All you have to do is work out exactly where the resting reptile could be.

The last pictures of Kylie Minogue and her ex-fiancé Joshua Sasse have emerged in the wake of their shock split. The former couple were pictured (left) looking sombre outside the singer's home in early January as they threw out their Christmas tree. Kylie, 48, thanked fans for their 'love and support' as she confirmed her split from the British actor, 29, via her Instagram page (bottom inset) on Friday morning. The couple met in the summer of 2015, but are said to have split amid claims Joshua had grown close to Spanish actress Marta Milans, 34 (right).

A machete-wielding man shouting 'Allahu Akbar' was shot five times in the stomach outside the Louvre in Paris this morning after he attacked four soldiers. French Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve has described the attack as 'terrorist in nature' and a terror probe has been launched by authorities. An estimated 1,250 people were inside the famous art gallery, home to the Mona Lisa, when the shooting happened. Pictures from inside the museum shows schoolchildren cowering during the emergency lockdown.

Countdown viewers were made to blush yesterday after Dictionary Corner maestro, Susie Dent, picked out a very cheeky eight-letter word. Covering her tracks naughty Susie said: 'I apologise for this one in advance, it's in the dictionary'. Host Nick Hewer quipped: 'Susie wash your mouth out with soap!'. The camera then panned to fan favourite Rachel Riley who had spelt out the words, and was trying not to laugh.

Michael Buble' and his wife actress Luisana Lopilato have confirmed that their son Noah is 'progressing well' during his treatment for liver cancer. The Canadian singer shared the happy news on his Facebook page on Friday, after his sister-in-law told a journalist that the three-year-old is cancer free.

A woman left Question Time viewers hysterical when she declared she voted Brexit because she spotted a straight banana in a supermarket. Speaking on the BBC One show recording in Wallasey, Merseyside, the woman told host David Dimbleby she was voting to Remain in last year's EU referendum, but opted out at the eleventh hour because of the 'silly rules that come out of Europe'. When Dimbleby (inset) interjected: 'Have the bananas changed?', she replied (left): 'If you go to Aldi they're a bit bent.' Social media was soon awash with memes and reactions from audiences tickled by her comments - and a Twitter account using the handle @EUBananaLady was set up (inset) - with tweets including, 'Hey Nigel Farage did you see my banana argument on #bbcqt. Hope you're proud of me babe.'

The Prime Minister's permanent secretary Ollie Robbins smiled sheepishly (main picture) as she gave the bag to him in sunny Valletta this morning where EU leaders are holding a summit. The civil servant from Mrs May's Brexit department, who stands at around 6ft3ins, then hides the handbag under his own briefcase when he realises the camera is trained on him. A smiling Mrs May then strides off with Joseph Muscat, who has been Prime Minister of Malta since 2013 - but she then looked more serious as President of the European Council Donald Tusk joined her on the walkabout. Mrs May is only attending the first part of the summit in Malta today, with leaders of the other 27 EU nations including Francois Hollande and Angela Merkel (pictured below) continuing their talks on Friday afternoon without her as they consider the future of the bloc after Brexit. But it appears that many of the leaders were more interested in talking to her about Donald Trump.

A shopper has questioned high-street retailers' jean sizes, after sharing a photo showing the shocking difference in brands. Teenager Lucy Horsely (left and right) posted a picture on Facebook (inset) showing two pairs of jeans, one size 18 from River Island and one size 14 from New Look. However the 18-year-old, from East Yorkshire, questioned how the supposedly bigger size 18 jeans were actually smaller than the size 14. In the post, that has since been shared nearly 16,000 times, she wrote: 'So the black jeans are a size 14 from New Look and the blue ones are a size 18 from River Island. How on earth can the bigger size be smaller?!'

Mobile homes were once considered unslightly blots on the landscape. But it seems they're undergoing something of a renaissance if some of the current asking prices are anything to go by. Dunstan Low bought and renovated Melling Manor in Lancashire in 2011 for £435,000, but has fallen on hard times as he struggles to get work in the area. He is selling raffle tickets with the house as the grand prize and hopes to make £1million by selling 500,000 tickets at £2. The Grade II listed manor has been on and off the market since December 2014, but hasn't attracted any offers and he has been forced to try to recoup his costs by selling tickets to avoid repossession. He is still open to offers of more than £650,000 but will use the cash he's made selling tickets as a prize should he find a buyer. Linda Trevan, the mother of Cassidy (together, left), says her daughter, 13, was relentlessly bullied at a Melbourne high school and then gang raped before tragically committing suicide two years later. In a heart-wrenching Facebook post, Ms Trevan said Cassidy was forced to miss out on her fourth term of Year 7 at the school after she was targeted by a group of bullying girls. She said they would slap her on the face and regularly abuse her on social media. Cassidy finally returned to school two days a week - where she was met with an apology from the girls, who asked her to be their friend and invited her to a festival. But instead of going to the festival, the very same girls led Cassidy to a nearby house where she was subjected to a horrific gang rape that savaged her innocence. 'They were older boys that Cass didn't know. Two girls who sat and waited. Two boys who shared her and timed each other. One boy stood guarding the front door,' Ms Trevan said. 'Cass was scared to make a formal statement for fear of retaliation from the gang.' Ms Trevan said she spent the next two years 'desperately doing everything' she could to keep Cassidy alive. 'Bullying killed my child, bullying must be taken seriously,' Ms Trevan said.

David Cameron has declared 'I'll be back' in a toecurling Snapchat video with Arnold Schwarzenegger. The clip - shot by the ex-governor of California - is captioned 'with my great friend David Cameron' and appears to be taken at a party. After being introduced by the actor, ex PM Mr Cameron said: 'I'm here with the Governor, he did a great job... and I'll be back.' As the clip ends, Schwarzenegger says 'oh... wow.'

WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT A Chinese teenager died today after being thrown out of a malfunctioned swing ride mid-air at an amusement park. The accident occurred at Fengdu County in south-west China's Chongqing city this afternoon, according to local media. The girl, 14, was pronounced dead at the People's Hospital in Fengdu County after failed resuscitation attempts, reports said.

Møvik Fort, at Kristiansand in southern Norway, was constructed between 1941 and 1944 by the German navy to help counter the threat from Allied ships. Streets in the city of Mazatlan in Mexico were flooded after a shark tank at an aquarium cracked and released torrents of water. Around 80cm of glass detached, causing the tank to burst and water to gush into the streets. A total of 13 sharks and various other fish were located in the tanks and were successfully transferred to new tanks.

The Line-us robot (main picture) was launched on Kickstarter by London-based designers and was fully-funded in just 30 hours. This mini robot is a USB-powered arm that connects to an app on smart phones, computers and tablets. Users can create their own sketches on screen or trace around photos on their device (top left) and the robot, called Line-up will recreate the image using pen and paper. The app also allows sketches to be sent to friends who also have the robot.

With slides long dried up and the Amazonian themed décor devastated by graffiti, the final days look bleak for the once popular Atlantida Water Park in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. The once vibrant palm trees are now wilted and the pipelines that joyful children whizzed through into the waters below now lie rusted. The tourist attraction closed in 2009 and is now set to be transformed into a 26million euro (£22million) shopping centre.

Events promoter Neil Guthrie, 43, from Leith in Edinburgh, created a series images to track the changes which have taken place since Danny Boyle's original in 1996. He held his smart phone in front of him which had a freeze frame of scenes from the cult classic with the filming location in the modern day as a backdrop. They look at one of the most memorable scenes from Trainspotting, when Renton and Spud ran down Princes Street before being apprehended by security guards on Calton Road. The photos have already caught the attention of the author of the original book Irvine Welsh.
