I gave the Roman Byzantines here a defencive stance & let the Ghaznavids come since i had a slightly better position. No skills, just a quick custom battle tho its still turned out an intresting battle. I haven't played much against Ghaznavids & it seems they have a lot of tough spearmen units besides strong heavy armored cavalry.

The founder of the dynasty was Sebüktigin(ruled 977--997), a former Turkish slave who was recognized by the Sāmānids (an Iranian Muslim dynasty) as governor of Ghazna (modern Ghaznī, Afg.). As the Sāmānid dynasty weakened, Sebüktigin consolidated his position and expanded his domains as far as the Indian border. His son Maḥmūd (ruled 998--1030) continued the expansionist policy, and by 1005 the Sāmānid territories had been divided. The river Oxus formed the boundary between the two successor states to the Sāmānid Empire, the Ghaznavids ruling in the west and the Qarakhanids in the east.

(AD 977--1186), Turkish dynasty that ruled in Khorāsān (in northeastern Iran), Afghanistan, and northern India.
The founder of the dynasty was Sebüktigin(ruled 977--997), a former Turkish slave who was recognized by the Sāmānids (an Iranian Muslim dynasty) as governor of Ghazna (modern Ghaznī, Afg.). As the Sāmānid dynasty weakened, Sebüktigin consolidated his position and expanded his domains as far as the Indian border. His son Maḥmūd (ruled 998--1030) continued the expansionist policy, and by 1005 the Sāmānid territories had been divided. The river Oxus formed the boundary between the two successor states to the Sāmānid Empire, the Ghaznavids ruling in the west and the Qarakhanids in the east.

This is the recently released version of Broken Crescent 2.4. I'm playing as the Mamlakat of Sindh. Our war against the Ghaznavids is going quite well.
Music is quite low to (hopefully) prevent annoying ads from showing up on the vid.

With regard to your editorial, Time to revise the Gulf's no-tax image? (February 24), I think a total review of the UAE's fiscal policy towards its expatriate workforce would be needed. Most of us came here because the money is better than where we are from ...
