'There will be a bill for Roe 8'

Police Commissioner Karl O'Callaghan says overtime police resources are being used at Roe 8.

"They removed three people chained up today," a witness said.

"A 14-year-old girl chained to concrete, an old guy tied to a tree and Claire."

Police made two attempts to remove the woman from the tree but the operation allegedly culminated in her arrest.

"[It was] so brave... there was a lot of cheering for her," the witness said.

Protesters have continued to put a strain on the WA Police force, with mass amounts of overtime being paid to more than 300 officers in order to protect construction workers.

Around 38 arrests were made on Monday, and 11 move-on issues were handed out.

Police were also forced to intervene in 15 individual lock-ons.

Labor leader Mark McGowan told radio host Geoff Hutchinson on Wednesday morning that he was committed to scrapping the Roe 8 project.

"I absolute guarantee we will not proceed with Roe 8 or the Perth freight link," he said.
