Maurice to stand at Arrowfield

Arrowfield's John Messara has once again bought one of the best milers in the world to stand in Australia with the announcement that Maurice will stand in the Hunter Valley for a $33,000 service fee in 2017.

Karaka sales a hit despite lower average

The Karaka Premier Sale was slightly down on averages compared to 2016, but it still brought outstanding results for the likes of New Zealand Bloodstock, spearheaded by retiring chairman Joe Walls,  and deceased stallions O'Reilly and High Chaparral.

Many Clouds, the 2015 Grand National winner, collapsed and died at Cheltenham Saturday local time after becoming the first horse to lower the colours of the King George winner Thistlecrack in 10 outings.
