Leslie Mann looks gorgeous in strapless top as she brings husband Judd Apatow to The Comedian premiere in NYC

Leslie Mann is the female lead in the R-rated film, The Comedian.

And on Tuesday, the star's husband Judd Apatow showed support for his wife's work when he joined her for an NYC screening of the movie.

The parents surely enjoyed a date night alone, as their two teenage daughters were not present.

Leslie displayed her lean shoulders in a dressy, strapless top, adorned with colourful lining. 

The 44-year-old added a pair of wide leg trousers.

Helen Mirren, 71, also joined the stars for the evening. Husband Taylor Hackford, 72, also joined his wife for the event.

During an interview with ET, Leslie discussed what it was like to work with Robert in the comedic flick. 

She recalls her initial feelings of uncertainty at the beginnings of their time together.

'I didn't feel comfortable calling him Bob. He doesn't really seem like a Bob, but he is Bob... but Robert doesn't sound right.'
