It's been a difficult few years for Kesha, which may explain the inspiration behind her powerful new tattoo.
The 29-year-old shared a photo of her latest ink on Instagram on Wednesday night - a roaring tiger on the back of her left hand.
It comes just days after The Hollywood Reporter revealed the Tik Tok singer could be left broke as her legal suit against music producer Dr Luke rages on.

'You can get a divorce from an abusive spouse. You can dissolve a partnership if the relationship becomes irreconcilable,' her lawyer wrote in the star's latest counterclaim.
'The same opportunity - to be liberated from the physical, emotional, and financial bondage of a destructive relationship - should be available to a recording artist.'
Kesha first sued the 43-year-old in 2014, claiming he had been both emotionally and physically abusive towards her when they worked together.

The blonde star has been a vocal opponent of President Trump, and attended the Women's March in LA on January 21.
'Marched today and will forever stand for equal rights for free life. every human. every animal. anything with a heartbeat, you deserve a happy and free life. no one deserves to live in fear. love to everyone,' she wrote on Instagram.
More recently, she's spoken out about the President's ban on Muslims.
'I feel as if some people have forgotten that we are all humans, we are all equal,' she wrote. 'We should offer a helping hand to each other in times of need. build bridges, not walls, not ban people from entering the United States based off of their origins. This is treading very dangerous, very hateful waters.'
