A walk on the wild side! Nicky Hilton rocks a bold look in a leopard print coat and a lip-motif bag as she hits the shops in NYC

She's rarely seen without her six-month-old baby girl, Lily.

But Nicky Hilton took a well deserved break from mummy duties as she enjoyed a relaxed day of shopping in New York City on Wednesday afternoon.

The socialite, 33, proved she was feline fine as she rocked a bold leopard-print coat while strolling the streets of Manhattan on the chilly winter's day.

A walk on the wild side: Nicky Hilton took a well deserved break from mummy duties as she enjoyed a relaxed day of shopping in New York City on Wednesday afternoon 

Injecting a further touch of sass to her bold look, the hotel heiress teamed her funk coat with a fun lip-motif handbag. 

Nicky kept the rest of her look relatively low-key, opting for all-black and ditching her usual heels in favour of comfortable Converse trainers.   

The mother-of-one wore her blonde locks swept back from her face in a high ponytail and opted for natural make-up to showcase her pretty features.

Nicky completed her winter look with a pair of chic cat-eye sunglasses as she enjoyed her day out in the city with a male friend.

Nicky married aristocrat James Rothschild in a romantic ceremony at Kensington Palace, London, in July 2015.

A year later, the socialite and son of the late Amschel Mayor James Rothschild welcomed their first child, Lily Grace Victoria Rothschild. 

The beautiful baby is heavily featured across Nicky's social media accounts, most recently sharing a snap to her Instagram of Lily attempting to 'catch snowflakes' in their NY apartment.

In September, Nicky told E! News she was besotted with her little one and loves being a mother to Lily.

'I love it! I love it!', she said. 'I have an alarm clock for the next 18 years, about 5.30 am every single day. But I love it! Waking up to that face - it's heaven.'

And the socialite admitted losing her baby weight wasn't too much of a struggle, because she made sure to keep healthy throughout her pregnancy.

Nicky added: 'I really didn't gain too much weight during my pregnancy. I really looked after myself and had a healthy diet and [kept] working out.'
