Tziporah opens up about James Packer

Usually tight lipped on the subject I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here contestant Tziporah talks about her past relationship with James Packer.

In an interview on The Project on Wednesday night, filmed before flying to South Africa last week, Malkah said she was tired of talking about the casino magnate who she was engaged to for two years before their split in 1998.

But it was Malkah, 43, who volunteered intimate details about their relationship while sitting down with Carrie Bickmore.

"I was in a relationship with a man and we'd already planned how many children we were going to have and what their names were, and that didn't happen," Malkah told Bickmore when asked why she moved to Los Angeles.

"And that was the relationship with James Packer?" Bickmore asked.

"That was the relationship with..." Malkah started before lolling her head back and telling Bickmore she hated talking about him.

"I know, Carrie, it's your job to ask these questions, but I hate talking about him, I hate being defined by him," she said.

"I actually had done quite a lot of work and a lot of it was quite good. I had a very promising career. I felt like I was a bud snapped off the vine before I had a chance to bloom."

The former model and actress, who now lives a reclusive life in Melbourne as a nurse, described how Packer didn't want her to continue working when they became engaged because it was "tacky".

"I had to stop work. 'Its tacky'," Malkah said, imitating him. "'You're going to be my wife. It's tacky that you should go out and need to work'."

In an interview with News Limited, Malkah also attacked Packer's most recent relationship with pop icon Mariah Carey, who he was engaged to last year for 10 months.

"I was so muzzled and so intimidated for such a long time," she said.

"He's going on Mariah's (Carey) reality show. He is that bloke, really I am the interesting one here. He is just like fiddling around."

Malkah told Fairfax Media she is on I'm a Celebrity to raise funds and awareness for homess shelter, Women's Housing Limited.

The former model lived there for two years after losing her life savings in 2011 to a man she was in a relationship with.

She was praised on Twitter following her interview on The Project, with social media users describing her as remarkable.

"Her courage and strength and resilience to get her (private) life back on track is so inspiring," one person said.
