This is only the second recording of the march Donald Cameron on this channel. Donald Cameron may be of interest to locals. He was born in Contin into a farming family and became an outstanding piper from an early age. His younger brother, Sandy, was also a piper of repute. Donald married Margaret Mackenzie in 1841 and all three of their sons became pipers. From 1849 Donald was piper to Keith Stewart-Mackenzie of Seaforth at Brahan Castle. He died in Maryburgh and is buried at the Old High Kirk in Inverness. The well known strathspey, Maggie Cameron, was named after Donald's wife and the reel Sandy Cameron was named after his brother.

Alex Duthart
Alex Duthart (October 7, 1925 – November 27, 1986) was a Scottish drummer who revolutionised pipe band snare playing.
Life
Duthart was born on 7 October 1925 in Cambusnethan, near Wishaw in North Lanarkshire. His father John Duthart who worked as a blacksmith, and had played both the bass and snare drums for the 8th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders during the First World War.
For most of his life Duthart lived in Newmains, near where he was born, and he worked as a blacksmith in the steel works at Motherwell.
With his wife Cathie he had three sons and one daughter. Two of his children are drummers; Drew Duthart is the leading drummer of the 78th Fraser Highlanders Pipe Band and John Duthart is a kit drummer.
Duthart was awarded the title of Drum Major by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association for being the principal drumming instructor in the association.
Band career
After being taught by his father from a young age, Alex joined the Craigneuk Parish Church Juvenile pipe band at the age of 12, and then the Home Guard Pipe Band (later known as the Dalzell Highland Pipe Band) in 1942. His elder brother John also played the pipes in the Home Guard band.

Pipe major
The pipe major is the leading musician of a pipe band, whether military or civilian. Like the appointment of drum major, the position is derived from British Army traditions. During the early twentieth century, the term sergeant piper was used instead. The pipe major is often assisted by a pipe sergeant, who has similar duties in the band and leads the band in the absence of the pipe major.
The pipe major leads the band musically, providing the rhythm by tapping his foot. Whilst marching, the pipe major is normally at the front right of the band.
British Army
A pipe major's position is an appointment and not a rank. An appointee is required to have attained the rank of at least sergeant and to have successfully completed the pipe major's course at the Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming. A pipe major may subsequently be promoted to staff sergeant/colour sergeant, warrant officer class 2, and rarely warrant officer class 1. This is only the second recording of the march Donald Cameron on this channel. Donald Cameron may be of interest to locals. He was born in Contin into a farming family and became an outstanding piper from an early age. His younger brother, Sandy, was also a piper of repute. Donald married Margaret Mackenzie in 1841 and all three of their sons became pipers. From 1849 Donald was piper to Keith Stewart-Mackenzie of Seaforth at Brahan Castle. He died in Maryburgh and is buried at the Old High Kirk in Inverness. The well known strathspey, Maggie Cameron, was named after Donald's wife and the reel Sandy Cameron was named after his brother.

He is joined in the TT Legends team by Cameron Donald and Simon Andrews. Donald is Australia's fastest plumber and a two-time winner of the Isle of man TT. Andrews is a fearless young gun who was the fastest newcomer at the TT in 2011. Together they are the TT Legends. Reproduced on YouTube by kind permission of Gaucho Productions, the 8-part TT Legends documentary follows a team of legendary motorcycle racers as they tackle some of the world's toughest races, including the Isle of Man TT. Factory worker Bob MacKay joins the army with his friend Syd Small and has to leave his wife, Ruth. The wealthy Donald Cameron also joins the army and becomes an officer. While posted to Paris after being wounded, he discovers a German spy who had once visited his father's factory in Canada. Meanwhile, MacKay is unfaithful to his wife and later dies in battle. The wealthy Donald Cameron also joins the army and becomes an officer. While posted to Paris after being wounded, he discovers a German spy who had once visited his father's factory in Canada. Meanwhile, MacKay is unfaithful to his wife and later dies in battle.

That the Parliament welcomes the publication of the Audit Scotland report, NHS in Scotland 2016; believes that the report paints a picture of a health service in crisis; notes that the NHS in Scotland has failed to meet seven of its eight key targets, that NHS boards are facing unprecedented levels of savings and that the health service as a whole is experiencing widespread problems in recruiting and retaining staff; believes that, after almost 10 years in power, the SNP administration must take responsibility for the clear and significant failures in the NHS, and, as a matter of urgency, calls on the Scottish Government to set out its response to all of the recommendations made in the Audit Scotland report.
