Student Clique launch: Enter the “Student Life” photography Challenge.

To celebrate Student Clique’s launch, we’re holding our very first photography challenge! Submit your best photo taken within 2016 that best captures the theme ‘Student Life’ for your chance to win a huge prize package.

We want you to step into the shoes of a photojournalist and capture a story within the theme “Student Life”. Submit an entry that captures what it’s like to be a high school or university student – from on-campus activity to after-hours fun.

It can be a portrait of your friend, a creative angle of one of your university buildings, a candid street photography shot, or a sports game in action on a Saturday morning. We want to see what being a student means to you.

The winner will receive:

  • A Nikon Prime Lens AF-S 50mm 1.8G valued at $299.
  • A $500 Westfield gift voucher.
  • A $100 Momento Pro digital voucher.
  • A 70×100 PosterCandy print & express shipping valued at $103.99.
  • A portfolio review with a Fairfax photographer.
  • An interview with a Fairfax journalist on your winning image which will be published on smh.com.au and theage.com.au.
  • 12-months of Full Student Clique membership (valued at $39).
  • A free ticket to a Clique-run photography workshop with a value of $100 or less, within 2016 to 2017.

Challenge entry requirements:

  • Your entry must be 300 dpi in JPEG form.
  • You are encouraged to include a caption (up to 500 characters) with your entry.
  • Entries must have been made on or after 1 January 2016. Images can be no older than 1 January 2016.
  • Entrants can make one entry. Entrants can make changes for their entry up until the Challenge deadline.
  • A limited amount of image post-processing is allowed, but images having excessive “manipulation” (in the opinion of the judge/s) may be scored down.
  • Late entries will not be accepted.
