The beauty business: Lianna Perdis is Australia's answer to Kylie Jenner

With a multi-million-dollar beauty empire, Kylie Jenner has been dubbed the beauty business teen queen, but she's got some Australian competition hot on her Gucci-clad heels.

At the age of 17, Napoleon Perdis' eldest daughter, Lianna, is juggling school, modelling (she graced the cover of Harper's Bazaar Greece in January) and now a cosmetics range, Total Bae.

Initially starting out as the muse of her father's collection alongside her triplet sisters Athina, Alexia and Angelene, 15, Lianna has come up with her own range with what she describes as make-up bag essentials, including highlighters, blue mascara, lip glosses with a light and a mirror so you can apply it in the club and, of course, the beauty staple of 2016 – the lip pencil.

Although she says she's "flattered" to be compared to the youngest member of America's unofficial first family, she said the inclusion of the matte liner is not inspired by the popularity of Jenner's lip range, but by her cosmetics king father's.

"Lip liners have always existed even before Kylie Jenner's Lip Kit made it a 'big lip liner thing'," Lianna explained.

"Napoleon Perdis has been in the make-up business now for 20 years and we have so many arrays of lip liners and it's just now that Kylie Jenner is a Kardashian, it kind of made people more obsessed with it all of a sudden.

"[Jenner] doesn't own the lip liner, not at all, because it's not her original idea. It's something that already existed, but she made it more famous again," she added.

While she feels like she has always been a part of the family business, Lianna's "No.1 priority" right now is focusing on school with some modelling on the side.

The additions to Total Bae, which will be stocked in David Jones and Myer from next week, were launched over a breakfast soiree at Napoleon's eccentric-style home in Sydney's plush Double Bay. He only lives every three months with the rest of the time spent in Athens, where the family have been for the past two years since moving from their previous base in Los Angeles.

The home was so extravagant, bedecked and bedazzled with artwork, including a Slim Aarons print, Poolside Gossip, on entrance and furniture upholstered in Chanel fabric, it almost stole the show.

But nothing less could be expected from the vibrant personality.
