The cold snap continued to take a grip on Britain, with even central London freezing over.
In sub zero temperatures and donning all the warm clothes we could muster, we took a bracing stroll around a snow-covered Hyde Park, with the Serpentine lake frozen solid.
Serpentine lake was frozen solid - something I've never seen before.
Unbelievably, this woman decided to go for a walk on the ice until enough people shouted at her to get the f*** off the lake.
Looking across the frozen lake.
The ice was very thick and had defied ambitious attempts to crack it open!
This is the Hyde Park lido. No swimming today, then!

At times, it felt like we were in the middle of the countryside.
Kensington gardens.
We grabbed a coffee in the cafe by the Serpentine. This is the desolate view from the deserted outside seating area. It doesn't look much like London, does it?
Heading home at dusk under the gas lamps. The paths were frozen solid.
