Donald Hugh "Don" Henley (born July 22, 1947) is an American singer-songwriter, producer, and drummer, best known as a founding member of the Eagles before launching a successful solo career. Henley was the drummer and co-lead vocalist for the Eagles from 1971–1980, when the band broke up, and from 1994–present, when they reunited. Henley sang the lead vocals on Eagles hits such as "Witchy Woman", "Desperado", "Best of My Love", "One of These Nights", "Hotel California", "Life in the Fast Lane", "The Long Run" and "Busy Being Fabulous".
After the Eagles broke up in 1980, Henley pursued a solo career and released his debut album I Can't Stand Still, in 1982. He has released four studio albums, two compilation albums, and one live DVD. His solo hits include "Dirty Laundry", "The Boys of Summer", "All She Wants to Do Is Dance", "The Heart of the Matter", "The Last Worthless Evening", "Sunset Grill", "Not Enough Love in the World", "New York Minute" and "The End of the Innocence".
The Eagles have sold over 150 million albums worldwide, won six Grammy Awards, had five No. 1 singles, 17 Top 40 singles, and six No. 1 albums. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 and are the biggest selling American band in history. As a solo artist, Henley has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, had eight Top 40 singles, won two Grammy Awards and five MTV Video Music Awards. Combined with the Eagles and as a solo artist, Henley has released 25 Top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot 100. He has also released seven studio albums with the Eagles and four as a solo artist. In 2008, he was ranked as the 87th greatest singer of all time by the Rolling Stone magazine.

"The End of the Innocence" is the lead single and title track from Don Henley's third solo studio album, The End of the Innocence, in 1989. The song was written by Bruce Hornsby, with lyrics added by Henley, and both perform the song live in their respective concerts. The Henley version became his fifth solo top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100, more than any of the other Eagles members, peaking at number eight. It also became his fourth number-one single on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
Classic music video with Don Henley as a side-by-side video. The original audio on the video can't be uploaded to YT so I've used Henley's live version from the album "Don't Look Back: 1985 Radio Broadcast".
Don Henley and Billy Joel, true American rock royalty, have remained friends throughout their careers. Joel even sang at Henley’s wedding, while Henley showed his admiration by performing at Joel’s Kennedy Center Honors. Now these two music legends are set to make a rare public appearance together, when Joel moderates a conversation with Henley at 92Y. Hear them talk about their lives, their careers and about Henley’s Cass County, his first solo album in 15 years, a musical return to his roots. I don't know where or when this tv appearance took place, I just found this video on another page and thought it might be fun for his fans out there to see it. The video shows Henley lip-synching to the album version of the song, and as usual the album version is impossible to upload to YouTube. Therefore I have changed the audio to the version that he did with the Eagles on the "Get Freeze It" album.

Musician Don Henley has a message for his fans: please stop texting and filming with your phones during Eagles concerts! He talks to Charlie Rose about why artists -- and increasingly, other fans -- don't like it. The full interview airs on PBS on Sept. 22, 2015. Visit www.charlierose.com for more.
What a way to start a day. This morning "The MOMS" Denise Albert and Melissa Musen Gerstein along with award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth hosted a MAMARAZZI® event at the Carlyle Hotel. The event was sponsored by breast cancer support initiative Warriors in Pink and powered by Ford. T2C is doing a series of articles based on today's amazing and supportive event. In this room full of miraculous women, it put the political chaos into perspective. I think if you told anybody in that room that someone else in that room needed their help, you would have seen the whole room come together. In this portion the remarkable talented Kristin Chenoweth sings "The Heart if the Matter" by Don Henley that spoke of forgiveness

He co-wrote this song with Bruce Hornsby, which is why you'll find clips of him singing this song also. Here are the End Of The Innocence lyrics. Remember when the days were long and rolled beneath a deep blue sky Didn't have a care in the world - with mommy and daddy standin' by But "happily ever after" fails and we've been poisoned by these fairy tales The lawyers dwell on small details - Since daddy had to fly But I know a place where we can go - That's still untouched by men We'll sit and watch the c...

Mix between Henley's and Ataris' versions. Single take on vocals (As you will notice) and one of the guitars, other guitars are added later on mix in Cubase. Backing tranck is a mix between the one found under Don Hebley in guitarbackingtracks.com and a midi file of the Ataris version. Tempo is also somewhere in between.
Like every young man
I had some things that I wanted to say
Ere I could begin
You know the world got in my way
Oh Lilah, to sleep like a baby
To open the window and feel the fair wind
Oh Lilah, to sleep like a baby again
We spend so much time
Weeping and wailing and shaking our fists
Creating enemies that really don't exist
Oh Lilah, to sleep like a baby
To open the window and feel the fair wind
Oh Lilah, to sleep like a baby again
All these comings and goings that cut like a knife
These small, simple pleasures that make up a life
A man needs a home and a child and a wife
To always be there, always
After I'm gone, there are some things
That I know I will miss
The taste of your mouth
The smell of the perfume on your wrist
Oh Lilah, the fields lie fallow
Whatever ye sow, so shall ye reap
Oh Lilah, the river's still shallow
But the river bed is dark and deep
Oh Lilah, the fields lie fallow
Whatever ye sow, so shall ye reap
Oh Lilah, this ground we hallow
Is ours to tend but not to keep
Too rah, loo rah, loo rah, Lilah
Too rah, loo rah, loo rah, lay
Now, while all the streets are silent
Take my hand and come away
Too rah, loo rah, loo rah, Lilah
Too rah, loo rah, loo rah lay
Too rah, loo rah, loo rah, Lilah
