The Australian Open is a major tennis tournament held annually over the last fortnight of January in Melbourne, Australia. First held in 1905, the tournament is chronologically the first of the four Grand Slam tennis events of the year – the other three being the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. It features men's and women's singles; men's, women's and mixed doubles and junior's championships; as well as wheelchair, legends and exhibition events. Prior to 1988 the tournament had been played on grass. Since 1988 two types of hardcourt surfaces have been used at Melbourne Park – green Rebound Ace to 2007 and blue Plexicushion from 2008.
The Australian Open typically has high attendance, second only to the US Open. It was also the first Grand Slam tournament to feature indoor play during wet weather or extreme heat with its three primary courts, the Rod Laver Arena, Hisense Arena and the refurbished Margaret Court Arena equipped with retractable roofs.
The Australian Open is managed by Tennis Australia, formerly the Lawn Tennis Association of Australia (LTAA), and was first played at the Warehouseman's Cricket Ground in Melbourne in 1905. This facility is now known as the Albert Reserve Tennis Centre.

The Czech Republic (i/ˈtʃɛk rᵻˈpʌblɪk/ CHEK-rə-PUB-lik;Czech: Česká republika [ˈt͡ʃɛskaː ˈrɛpuˌblɪka]) is a landlocked country in Central Europe bordered by Germany to the west, Austria to the south, Slovakia to the southeast and Poland to the northeast. The capital and largest city, Prague, has over 1.2 million residents. The Czech Republic includes the historical territories of Bohemia,Moravia, and Czech Silesia.
The Czech state was formed in the late 9th century as the Duchy of Bohemia under the Great Moravian Empire. After the fall of the Empire in 907, the centre of power transferred from Moravia to Bohemia under the Přemyslids. In 1004, the duchy was formally recognized as part of the Holy Roman Empire, becoming the Kingdom of Bohemia in 1212, and reaching its greatest territorial extent in the 14th century. The King of Bohemia ruled not only Bohemia itself, but also other lands, which together formed the so-called Crown of Bohemia, and he had a vote in the election of the Holy Roman Emperor. In the Hussite wars of the 15th century driven by the Bohemian Reformation, the kingdom faced economic embargoes and defeated five crusades proclaimed by the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church and organized mainly by the emperor and princes of the Holy Roman Empire.

Melbourne, Australia's second largest city, is a popular stop on many Australia itineraries. Galleries, theaters, restaurants, shops, and a distinctly European feel are the main draws of this sophisticated city on the Yarra River. It's also a green city with parks, gardens, and open spaces occupying almost a third of its total area. Highlights of the city include the Royal Botanic Gardens, the National Gallery of Victoria, and the Melbourne Cricket Ground where sports fans can watch cricket in the summer and Australian Rules football in the winter. Shoppers flock to the elegant Royal Arcade on Bourke Street, as well as Chapel Street, the Melbourne Central Shopping Center, and the Queen Victoria Market, which has been selling fruits, vegetables, clothes, and crafts for more than a century.M...

The most important places to visit in Sydney are: Sydney Opera House , Set on the Sydney harbor, Sydney Harbor Bridge (simply called "the bridge" by locals, courageous ones can even climb up the bridge), Bronte Beach (lesser known than Bondi, it is a beautiful beach, popular amongst families), Blue Mountains (an unspoiled mountain range filled with Eucalyptus trees. It is located 30 miles from Sydney, and there are plenty of hiking trails), Bondi Beach (Sydney's most famous beach, its lively promenade is as exciting as the beach) and many more. 6 Ways You Can Give to Nepal Earthquake Relief http://time.com/3836242/nepal-earthquake-donations-disaster-relief/ ========= Justin and I managed to squeeze in several hikes during our week-long stay in Nepal in December of 2015. Despite the winter season being in full swing (and we are folks from a tropical country who never experience this kind of weather back at home!) we still spent majority of our time outdoors. The Nagarkot Panoramic Hike (2 hours) took us in and out of villages surrounding Nagarkot, a 2000 MASL hilltown 1-1/2 hours away from Kathmandu. As the activity suggests, the hike was a leisurely walk along the Nagarkot ridge with open views of the Langtang Range, Manaslu, Dorje Lhakpa and the Central Nepal / Himalayan Range. We got info on this hike from Kyarol Dhoju of P...
Ngapali Beach, Myanmar | Dec. 23, 2011. Ngapali Beach (pronounced a bit like the city in Italy, Napoli) is about an hour flight from Yangon to the Bay of Bengal coast (keep going down that coastline and you reach the Chin State of Burma, then Bangladesh). The beach is very resorty, but fortunately we stayed at a smaller, down-home place (Pleasant View Resort) that was at the very south end of the beach -- for now because a new resort was in the early building stages -- near a fishing village. The fishermen stay out all night drawing fish and squid into their nets with the help of those electric bulbs you see strung over each boat. About the resort… an Australian travel writer who was staying at the place with his family says it's his favorite on the beach for its style and friendliness of ...
It’s rather ironic that the Indian Government is keenly advertising the buzz words caption “Incredible India”, in an effort to promote tourism to India. But, be warned. I hope you don’t get unlawfully thrown in gaol, like recently happened to me, at Chennai Airport. There is a familiar wise principle we all know: “If you give a person a fish, you feed them for a day. If you teach a person how to fish, you feed them for life”. On this basis, I occasionally leave my normal business as a Private Building Certifier with AAA Building Consultants and travel into India and Sri Lanka. While sightseeing on a tourist visa, i also like visiting friends in our United Church of God and many other people who seek education in values that will help them to obtain or make productive work and have a better...
