Beyonce announced her pregnancy on social media on Thursday morning.

Pop Queen Beyonce is expecting twins, and she's kept it secret for quite a while.

The 35-year-old pop culture icon announced her pregnancy on Instagram on Thursday morning, saying: "We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over."

Rapper Jay Z and Beyonce already have a 5-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.

The twins will be the second and third child for the couple, who welcomed a daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, in 2012.

The Formation singer has previously said that, despite having a trophy cabinet full of Grammys and VMAs, being a mother is her "greatest accomplishment".

"Out of everything I've accomplished, my proudest moment hands down was when I gave birth to my daughter Blue," Beyoncé told Garage last year.

Beyoncé and Jay Z, who married in 2008, are notoriously private about the details of their home life, rarely granting personal interviews and keeping their daughter away from paparazzi lenses and big events.

With an early February announcement, it's unclear whether the Carters will be attending this year's VMAs, but it seems that, when 2018 comes around, they may just need a "plus three".

People are wondering whether this will affect her scheduled Coachella festival appearance. According to TMZ, Coachella producers were left in the dark about the pregnancy, and they're now unsure if the April show will go on.
