Michael Klinger is in line for an international debut in Twenty20 cricket, after being selected in Australia's 13-man squad to face Sri Lanka this month
Chairman of selectors Trevor Hohns said the selection of veteran Klinger, who is 36, was just reward for his performances.

Plays of the Week
Big alley-oops, tennis fairytales and some epic finishes slide in for this week's biggest plays from the sporting world.
"He has been a very good player in this form of the game for some time now," Hohns said.
"He has a history of strong performances in T20 competitions in the UK and in the BBL, including the match-winning innings for the Perth Scorchers to secure this year's BBL title."
Master blaster Chris Lynn has also been named in the squad but he won't know for at least another week whether he will play due to a lingering neck injury.
Lynn said he must prove his fitness within 10 days to contest the three-match series starting February 17 in Melbourne.
"In seven to 10 days our camp starts and I have to be fully fit before that," he said.
"I have to be hitting balls and match fit.
"I have got another week of rehab and rest and hopefully in seven days it comes good and I can hit the nets and prepare."
Lynn has not picked up a bat since being sidelined following Australia's opening ODI against Pakistan in Brisbane on January 13.
He has been plagued by shoulder problems the last three seasons.
"Because I have had it such a long time it will be a slower healing process but fingers crossed it comes good," Lynn said.
With Australia's Test side preparing for the series in India, veteran Michael Klinger, Billy Stanlake, Jhye Richardson and Ashton Turner are in line for T20 international debuts after being named in the squad to be led by Aaron Finch.
Wicketkeeper Tim Paine also returns to the international set-up as Australia look to improve their current T20 ranking of sixth in the world.
"With a number of our frontline players preparing for the India Test series, we have chosen a squad with a good blend of experience combined with several younger players in an effort to improve our performance," Hohn said.
"The influence of younger players in this squad also gives us the opportunity to look forward to the ICC World T20, which is being hosted here in Australia in 2020.
"The overall standards being set in the BBL are very high and many of these players are making a good impression, but consistency was key for the selectors on this occasion."
Australia meet the Sri Lankans in Melbourne on February 17, in Geelong on February 19 and in Adelaide on February 22.
