Touch is an American thriller television series that ran on Fox from January 25, 2012, to May 10, 2013. The series was created by Tim Kring and starred Kiefer Sutherland. During its first season the series aired regularly on Thursday nights beginning March 22, 2012. Thirteen episodes were ordered for the first season, with the two-episode season finale airing on Thursday, May 31, 2012. On May 9, 2012, Fox renewed the show for a second season. The second season was originally scheduled to begin Friday, October 26, 2012, but was pushed back to Friday, February 8, 2013.
On May 9, 2013, Fox canceled Touch after two seasons.
Touch centers on former reporter Martin Bohm (Kiefer Sutherland) and his 11-year-old autistic son, Jake (David Mazouz). Martin's wife died in the World Trade Center during the September 11 attacks, and he has been struggling to raise Jake since then, moving from job to job while tending to Jake's special needs. Jake has never spoken a word, but is fascinated by numbers and patterns relating to numbers, spending much of his days writing them down in notebooks, his touch-screen tablet and sometimes using objects (for instance popcorn kernels).
Gugulethu Sophia Mbatha (born 21 April 1983), known as Gugu Mbatha-Raw (pronounced /ˈɡuːɡuː əmˈbɑːtə rɔː/), is an English stage and film actress.
Working in British television and stage productions, she first gained prominence in a recurring role in Doctor Who, playing companion Martha Jones's sister, Tish Jones. She garnered attention in American productions, beginning with a supporting role in the Tom Hanks comedy Larry Crowne, and starring roles in the short-lived television series Undercovers and Touch. She earned critical acclaim for her performances in the period drama Belle and the romantic drama Beyond the Lights, receiving numerous accolade nominations from critics worldwide.
Mbatha-Raw was born in Oxford, England, in 1983 and grew up in the small town of Witney in Oxfordshire. Her surnames are those of her father and mother, and her forename is the shortened version of "Gugulethu", a contraction of igugu lethu that means ‘Our Pride’ in Zulu. a better translation of the name would rather be "Our treasure" in IsiZulu, with "gugu" meaning "treasure", and "lethu" meaning "our", in full then rended as our treasure.
Roxana Brusso (born November 19) is a Peruvian/American actress. She is more known for her roles as Detective Alicia Fernández in Southland, and Sheri Strepling in Touch.
Roxana Brusso was born in Lima, Peru with a Peruvian, Italian, and Spanish background. When she was only four years old, her family moved to the United States, and she grew up in North Hollywood, California. It wasn't until she was in college that she became interested in an acting career.
After that, she has appeared in several television series like Melrose Place, Beverly Hills 90210, Crossing Jordan, Without a Trace, ER, and NCIS, among others.
In 2007, she landed a recurring role as Maria on the short lived ABC series Dirty Sexy Money. After the show was cancelled, Brusso went on another recurring role as Detective Alicia Fernández on TNT's cop drama Southland. In 2012, she also started appearing on Fox's series Touch.

The first season of Touch officially kicked off last week, a couple months after FOX teased the country with the pilot back in January. With millions tuning in to check out the second episode, there's no doubt that America is ready for another Kiefer Sutherland helmed television show! If you missed out on last week's episode, here's a little background: Kiefer plays Martin Bohm, a man who continually tries to find a way to connect with his emotionally challenged son, Jake, a boy who doesn't communicate at all. It becomes quickly apparent that although Jake can't express himself through words, he has a special talent for seeing the invisible patterns in the universe that bind people together. As Martin begins to notice and understand his son's unique gift, they are able to see how ev...
Last time Kiefer Sutherland did a TV show, things went pretty well, wouldn't you say? Eight gripping seasons of "24," one of the best series of the 21st century so far. After he finished, Kiefer wasn't looking to jump back into TV... in fact, he wasn't even planning on it -- until he saw the script for "Touch." It's an interesting concept... Kiefer's playing a single father whose son has never said a word. Instead, he "talks" through numbers, and you'll be amazed at how things play out. Like Kiefer said, this is a special show... watch the sneak preview of "Touch," tomorrow night after "American Idol" on Fox. I'm so, SO sorry about the instability of the first ~4 minutes of this panel, and that I end this round of uploads this way. I literally had to check out of the hotel in a hurry, throw luggage in the car and sprint across a bridge with traffic to get there in time, and even still I couldn't finish setting up my tripod in time for the beginning of this panel and had to hold it all together with my thumb (it is more complex than your average tripod) until I was able to reach and screw in the last part... I cut it really, really close, but I got the whole thing and I hope you guys enjoy what I luckily managed to capture.

Interview with star David Mazouz of Fox's new series "Touch" at Fox's TCA Day (2012)
Here's our roundtable interview with David Mazouz (Bruce Wayne) of Gotham. I love listening to him talk about Batman! This took place in the press room at San Diego Comic Con.
On June 4 2015, Murtz Jaffer caught up with Gotham's David Mazouz and Camren Bicondova to to discuss the series. We chatted about a variety of subjects including what fans can expect from the show’s sophomore season. Camren discussed her ability to successfully transition from dancing into acting while Davide opened up about the differences between playing a character who didn’t speak at all (in Touch), to one who speaks in every episode (in Gotham). I asked Camren if she preferred playing Selena Kyle as a ‘good’ character or as the villains that she started to embody in the show’s first season finale. I asked David about the preparations he made prior to undertaking a role as big as Bruce Wayne and if he was influenced at all by any of the other actors who have put on the cowl. Camren...

Touch, lying on the floor, wishing this could last
Knowing that it can't, and soon you will leave
And I'll be on the floor, watching the TV
Trying hard to find a reason to move
I'm frozen in one place, staring at the screen
Listening to the rain falling on the street
Some days go on too long
So no, no one can hang out tonight
Here, where the carpet is cool and soft
Underneath the clock, I feel my weary heart is put to rest
You gather around your friends, the connection that you feel
When the night has not yet died, you are new
With a promise of a love, and you'll probably never find
And touch that you can really feel
The brokenness inside, [Incomprehensible]
And nothing is real
And there is nothing more I want than just one night
That's free of doubt and sadness
