How to Lead a Wild Classroom

Ideal for PreK – 6th Grade Educators

Discover how to help your students fall in love with nature!  Through this workshop, teachers will learn new techniques to help create meaningful connections between their students and the natural world.  Let’s make your classroom WILD!

Teachers as Field Researchers
Wednesday, March 22, 2017
9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Ideal for All Grade Levels

Come learn what it’s like to be a field researcher at the Texas City Prairie Preserve!  Participants will take part in marine seining, tracks and scat identification, and water quality analysis to collect data on local ecosystems.  Teachers will be able to relate these hands-on activities to any outside area they have to work with.

Please note:  This workshop takes place at the Texas City Prairie Preserve located in Texas City.  This workshop will NOT be held at the Houston Zoo.

Ideal for all Grade Levels

Want to learn what bats, birds, and bees have in common?  Join us at our next Educators Night Out event!  Learn how planting a pollinator friendly garden can help save animals in the wild.  Come experience STEAM activities, animal presentations, and much more.  Light appetizers and drinks will be included in your registration.
