Don't rain on her parade! Karlie Kloss holds up her gown's train as she battles stormy weather outside the David Jones Autumn/Winter Launch

She's the glamorous supermodel bringing star power to David Jones' Autumn/Winter 2017 collection.

But Karlie Koss, 24, weathered a decidedly unglamorous experience ahead of the highly-publicised runway show on Wednesday when she was forced to lift up the train of her dress while walking through the rain.

Hiding beneath an umbrella, the blonde glamazon looked rather frazzled as she walked toward the black carpet, flanked by her entourage.

Taylor Swift's bestie wore a white gown by Australian designer Rebecca Valance, worth over $1,000 AUD, as well as a pair of nude patent pumps.  

Once she arrived at the event, one of her assistants promptly got to work on straightening out the pesky train of her monochromatic frock.

The beauty flashed her pearly whites as she posed up a storm on the red carpet.

The long-sleeve number featured an open back and tightly hugged her gym-honed physique before flaring out at the knees. 

Karlie completed her look with a pop of red lipstick and a sleek centre-part hairstyle, while adding a simple touchof bling to her look with a pair of small silver earrings. 

Her red carpet entrance comes days after The Daily Telegraph reported that the Karlie's team had cancelled an appearance on Sunrise, after the program refused to concede to their interview terms.

According to a source quoted in the publication, Karlie was scheduled to appear on the breakfast TV show on Tuesday morning, but 'backed out at the last minute'.

Karlie is one of Taylor Swift's closest pals but reportedly requested not to be asked about her friendship with the pop superstar.

Similarly off limits according to the publication was talk about politics, Donald Trump and her boyfriend, Joshua Kushner, who happens to be Ivanka Trump's brother-in-law.

When the program made no guarantees 'they were told that Karlie would not do the interview'.

The Daily Telegraph also states that during her stay Down Under, Karlie's interviews have been patrolled by a team of five managers, in an effort to curb any curly questions.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Karlie's representatives for comment.
