'A little piece of me just died': Jeremy Vuolo laments bachelor pad revamp lead by Jessa Duggar on Counting On

Jeremy Vuolo surrendered his bachelor pad to the Duggar sisters on Monday's episode of Counting On.

The 29-year-old former soccer player was eight weeks away from marrying Jinger Duggar, 23, which meant his home needed a revamp.

The show opened with Jinger planning the move to Laredo, Texas to live with her husband-to-be.

'I think it'll be neat to set up the place that will soon be our home,' she cooed.

Joy, Ben and Jessa, who was 20 weeks pregnant, went along to help.

Jessa had packed an arsenal of home goods to furnish their apartment.

'There were 11 checked bags,' balked Jeremy.

Warm welcome: Jeremy welcomed Jinger and her family to Texas

'I'm not sure how much input I'm going to have,' he sighed as the women steamrolled the decorating process.

They went shopping 'on a budget' and received a dining room table as a gift from her parents.

'That was an amazing surprise,' said Jinger.

The next day the crew gave the home a complete makeover.

'Jessa is the taskmaster,' agreed her siblings.

'I know that whatever she does it's going to turn out beautifully,' said Jinger in compliance, while her siblings wondered about how to use a duvet.

Jeremy's precious books had to be relocated.

'When Jessa announced that one of my book cases needed to go in the closet…that's like telling me to chose between my children…a little piece of me just died,' he said.

The pious Texan also fretted about a location for his beloved 'Rembrandt' painting.

'Loosing the bachelor pad and getting it redecorated, I don't mind it all, I'm just glad I'm getting a wife,' he said unconvincingly.

'It hasn't hit me that I'm moving so far from home, a 12-hour drive, that's a long way,' said Jinger as the reality of her relocation began to sink in.

'It's kind of bittersweet because I'm leaving my family, but I'm marrying my best friend,' she added.

Moving away: Jinger was preparing to move from Arkansas to Texas after the wedding

Back in Arkansas, Jinger's siblings were planning to buy her a car as a wedding present.

They alternately described her driving style as 'confident, heavy-footed' and 'furious'.

At the car auction they were outbid on their options, so Joe ended up buying a boat instead.

Jill and Derick went on a 'family exercise outing' with Derick running and Jill and their child Israel on a bike.

Derick started gagging during the run and coughing up phlegm.

'I've been to a lot of doctors, with the gagging…we've definitely ruled out a lot of things but they can't figure this out,' he said.

'Derick's condition is concerning,' agreed Jill, before deciding to get further 'wellness checks' at the doctor.

The doc was flummoxed by Derick's bizarre gagging condition and recommended they see an allergist.

Jill was told there was an issue with her carotid artery, which leads to the heart.

She was told to have an ultrasound to check.

Counting On continues next week on TLC.
