we stayed only 1 night, which was enough. room smelled of cigarettes and it just didn't feel like a safe place. it's ok for one night as it is close to the airport but i wouldn't recommend it for longer stays

Was not happy even before we unpacked the car. The other clientele left a lot to be desired. The room seemed clean enough but I have read reviews that said it had been refurbished. No our room hadn't ... went and bought antibacterial cleaning wipes for the bathroom before we could shower. Very noisy all night with people hanging out in the car park and around the back. I booked for two nights but left after one (let them keep my money) as did not feel comfortable or secure.

We stayed one night in there. The room was a clean and newly furnished one, much better than expected. Easy choice for the price. Noticed that they are doing remodeling on the rooms. So be sure to ask for the newly remodeled one. The traffics on Sydney Road is very busy during the rush hours. We found that the side roads, parallel to Syndney Rd can go much faster.

This is a budget motel, on a drab part of Sydney Rd. It has the appearance of an old fashioned country motel. However our rooms were very clean, with good quality plain furniture. Some intoxicated person made a disturbance on the first night, but that can happen anywhere. I stayed 3 nights, got a very cheap price by booking in advance. Tram at the door to the city of Melbourne. Coburg restaurant strip, with numerous ethnic cafes, is only two blocks away.

A budget priced motel, not flash but cheap for the location. Rooms are not modern by any means as the complex has been there for more than 33 years that i know of. Tea and coffee facilities are provided also an iron if required. they do need a touch of paint and the odd bit of maintanance going, But you have the No.19 trams outside the Motel heading to the City that will take you from the motel through Coburg, Brunswick to the Royal Melbourne Hospital and on to the Queen Victoria Market, ending in the City opposite the Flinders Street Railway Station, the trip takes about 30/40 minutes each way and does the return trip every 10 to 20 minutes. Budget yes, (not the expensive city prices) but for cheapness and convenience, Great. Beds are warm, showers good.

Upon Check inn we were walked to our room, luggage carried for us to our room which has been preheated and set up with the tv on and natural light coming in. The bed was new as were the other fittings in the room, new kitchen, toilet, sink, shower, carpet, door everything. The people in a room a few doors down were quite loud and in the morning to our suprise the manager knocked on our door and appologised and gave us a free breakfast :) This was the second time we stayed in the Coburg Motor Inn and i assure i will return if this service keeps up :)

Avoid at all costs.

I'm escaping domestic violence and sought help for the first time just to be relocated by Salvation Army to this motel were within the first hour I had already witnessed horrendous acts of violence. Neverending racism, fights, threats, property damage etc. After looking for a plug to plug the tv in (there was non) I found a filthy crackpipe hidden on-top of cupboard.

A few hours into my stay, my room was hotboxed with crystal meth via the addicts that stay here puffing then intentionally exhaling the smoke in through the gaps to my room. After feeling dizzy, disoriented, tremor, and paronia and really speedy. I immediately grabbed my bag and left and contacted Salvation army and Police. I was essentially told to "suck it up" and go back there as my stay for the next few nights had been paid for. And As well the preston police officer suggesting I lay towels beneath the door to block the smoke out.. I was lost for words. Essentially advising I unwillingly develop a methamphetamine dependence and inhale neurotoxic chemical.

I regret any help I requested from Salvation Army. No-one was held accountable and the solution given was to just suck it up.

Is there any way to tap zero circle for rate? Don't come here! It should be shut down definitely! The worst boss with the worst staff showed you the worst language, the worst manners, the worst atmosphere, the worst environment, of course the worst service offer you the worst experience... ... They are the people who never keep their promises, how could you expect their service. If you want to SUFFER here, congratulations! It would be a correct choice...
Do they hire someone to write good reviews or the boss or staff do it?!?!

Terrible hotel, don’t stay here.
It’s filthy dirty. There are holes punched in the inside
Door. Tiles all broken in the bathroom. The whole
Place stinks of urine.
DNA on the walls, Wiring hanging out of the wall. Bed cover had cigarette burn holes, windows wouldn’t close
Grubby little man running the place, would not come and show me how to get into the room.
Took my money quickly and gave no customer
Service at all.
An embarrassment to Melbourne, should be demolished
