Even with Thanksgiving now over, our reason for giving thanks never ends, dear Readers and Friends! I'm humbled and honored for my poem, "Mother of Exiles" to have been chosen finalist by final judge, Don Williams, and the New Millennium Writings editorial staff for the 42nd New Millennium Poetry Awards! As part of my poem's selection as finalist, it will be published in 2017 NMW issue.

Dear readers and fellow writers, I am pleased to share that my poem, "The Springtime of Their Diaspora", was chosen as a finalist for the The New Guard Literary Review Knightville Poetry Contest. Although it was not picked as the ultimate winner, the editors of TNG said my poem was a very strong contender and therefore enthusiastically urged me to submit to them again. For someone like me who is a self-taught immigrant writer in America who did not go to MFA school, forgive me if I interpret this as making me a winner, no less. 😃
