Hate packing your lunch for work? You're far from alone.

Former Masterchef contestant Ellie Paxton-Hall is this week launching Elpax, a lunch delivery service in Canberra, with a constantly-changing menu of healthy, wholesome lunches.

Since being on the reality cooking show - she came fifth in 2011 - Paxton-Hall has worked in a restaurant, then in catering and cafes. She then did a business degree and got a corporate job, but missed being in the kitchen.

When she moved to Canberra in late 2016 to live with her partner, Paxton-Hall saw it as a great opportunity to do something new, and decided to launch Elpax.

Meals are available every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from January 31, and there's two options each day - one meat and one vegetarian.

The menu will be constantly changing, but the first week's offerings include slow cooked duck pie with zucchini, pea and rocket salad and a cocoa, date and coconut ball, or roasted beetroot, pumpkin and goats cheese couscous salad with toasted almonds, plus fresh berries and vanilla yoghurt.

"The menu changes seasonally and it's quite varied, and it's just food that I love to cook - healthy, wholesome, yummy food," she said.

The menu will go online the week before, and orders are due by 5pm the day before delivery.

Lunches are $15 each, including delivery, or $40 if you order all three for the week. To see the menu and order, visit elpax.org.
