Payet didn't speak to West Ham team-mates for eight weeks

West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan has revealed that Dimitri Payet didn't speak to his team-mates for eight weeks before his £25million move to Marseille.  Former fans' favourite Payet had been refusing to play for the Hammers, and finally got a move back to Marseille at the end of the transfer window. While West Ham were initially unwilling to sell, Sullivan has revealed the circumstances which made it near-impossible to keep him at the club.

Massimiliano Allegri picked up the gong for Best Manager for the 2015-16 season, while Juventus as a whole secured the Best Club award.

Eric Bailly returns for Manchester United reserves   

Eric Bailly returned to action in a Manchester United shirt for the first time in 2017 as he played for the reserves against Everton.The Merseyside outfit claimed a 3-1 victory but Bailly looked in fine fettle with a series of muscular interventions.The Ivorian was making his first appearance for the club since returning from AFCON.

Man United midfielder Schweinsteiger and wife take stroll

It has been a long time since Bastian Schweinsteiger has been able to take a casual Monday stroll after a weekend where he starred in a Manchester United victory. Up until Sunday, Schweinsteiger had not made a start for United in 385 days, and for much of this season was training with the reserves after being cut out of manager Jose Mourinho's plans. Danny Welbeck scored twice during his first start in nine months with Theo Walcott, back from six weeks out, also netting a hat-trick at Southampton. In the pair's absence, Arsenal hardly struggled.

Arsenal news: Danny Welbeck could return to bench

Arsene Wenger says Danny Welbeck has done enough to keep his place in the Arsenal side but the striker still might not be risked against Watford on Tuesday. Welbeck returned to goalscoring action with two of the Gunners' five in their FA Cup rout of Southampton on Saturday night, marking his first start of the season in spectacular style. However, as he continues to work his way back to optimal fitness following a major knee injury, Wenger is loath to hand his England international too great a workload. And that could mean returning to the bench when the Hornets visit the Emirates.

Heavyweight boxer Joshua, who has a sponsorship deal with the sporting brand, took to Instagram to post a photo himself hanging out with Hearn on a plane, captioning the post: 'Baltimore bound.' Hearn however, was a fair bit more revealing on the matter. He also took to his social media account, commenting: 'Baltimore with Under Armour then NYC for the #joshuaklitschko press conference.'

Wolves smash transfer record to secure £13m Helder Costa

The 31-year-old Algerian was a target for Aston Villa earlier in the window and figured for Watford in their FA Cup defeat at Millwall. Hull have also enquired about Marvin Zeegelaar and Nicolas Pepe.

Villa would also receive a significant sum of money, believed to be around £5million, for the Ghana forward but the deal is yet to be completed due to Ayew’s involvement with the Africa Cup of Nations.
