Most of these releases are out of print and Yellow Dog is about to release a 1996-98 discography cd.The band is inactive nowadays and their website is dead for ages

Abuso Sonoro-Revolte se 7"

We are back in South America with a band this time singing in portugese and not spanish. The brazilians Abuso Sonoro released Revolte se ep in 1997 on Sin Fronteras and it includes tracks that were previously contributed in compilations.
So, here we got brutal hardcore with harse throatty and some screaming vocals, lyrics full of wrath, angry guitar riffs, fast and midpaced tempos while the sound is raw and rough. An insert is included with lyrics and translation in english as well, some texts presenting the band's ideals but there are no details where these tracks come from. The first track is about the revolt in Carandiru, the biggest penitentiry complex in South America, a revolt that ended up with over a hundred dead and hundreds injured inmates, Check Sepultura-Manifest lyrics from Chaos A.D. lp for more about what happened there in 1992...

Detestation/Abuso Sonoro-split 7"

This split delivers Portland crust vs Brazilian hardcore: Detestation need no introduction, their legacy is a bunch of ep's, one lp and members in many great bands (Hellshock,Atrocious Madness, Severed Head of State etc). here they offer two tracks of their fast thrashing crust including a cover Brazilians Republika. The production is raw, Saira's voice is great once again and her screams bring political messages, check the lyrics here, both tracks included in the cd version of Detestation's full lengh
Abuso Sonoro are some hardcore vets from SaoPaolo, Brazil, they formed in early '90's and they have released several ep's and two lp's, they contribute two tracks of rough and fast Brazilian hardcore with gruff vocals, lyrics in Portugese, hight drum beat and raw guitar sound
This was released on Six Weeks in 1997, 2000 copies were made. search the blog for more Detestation and Abuso Sonoro's split w Autaritar

World Burns To Death/Sick Terror-Split 7"

World Burns to Death formed in Austin Texas in 200o by current and former members of of some great acts such as From Ashes Rise, Severed Head of State and others. Anyway, here they deliver two tracks of powerful crust/hardcore with melody trace (the psychotic guitar solo of And the cities shall be your tombs" is amazing) and lyrics dealing about war
Sick Terror started in 2000 too, they come from Brazil and their name describes their music: They deliver five tracks moving from sick noisy powerviolence to thrashcore. they have released many ep's and plit lp's, here they deliver five sick tracks of thrashcore. The record was released by the Brazilin label Terroten Records in 2003, it comes in green vinyl, gatefold cover and an insert sheet with lyrics for both bands.
