Welcome to part 6 of my USA summer 2014 adventure! Initially everything was booked and planned and meaning to fly my first CRJ-700 from Charlotte to Chicago (see part 3) However after failed attempts with Lufthansa and Delta, United Express swichted it to the ERJ-145! After playing around I found another option with United to log this bird and another plane that I really wanted to log!
After 3 failed attempts I was more than happy to finally log the CRJ-700! This flight was a pretty standard regional flight within the USA that I was quite happy with! Service was ok, seats where acceptable for this 1 hour flight between Los Angeles and Sacremento! Los Angeles airport however was a bit of a shame (not United's fault) very old and dated, long lines,... nothing good to say at all

Welcome to part 7 of my Summer USA 2014 trip! After spending a few hours in the boiling and hot Sacramento it was time to fly back to Los Angeles! My first leg would be to San Francisco on the Embrear 120! A glad addition to the log, as skywest retired them all and replaced them by CRJ-200s. The only plane I don't like.
I was very happy to have this exotic addition to the log! I was even more happy that Skywest spoiled me with this livery! The flight overall was good and despite that the Embrear 120 was quite aging I really did find it more comfortable than your average US regional flight! I was surpsised to get 2 water runs as well, I was actually expecting nothing! Sacramento and San Francisco where fun airports as well

Stephanie Kelton BIO: studied Business Finance and Economics at the California State University, Sacramento, earning a B.S. and a B.A. in 1995. She received a Rotary scholarship to study Economics at the University of Cambridge, receiving her Master in 1997. On a fellowship from Christ's College, Cambridge, Kelton then spent a year at the Levy Economics Institute of Bard College. She obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from The New School in 2001 with her dissertation, "Public Policy and Government Finance: A Comparative Analysis Under Different Monetary Systems. Professor Kelton is also Chair of the Department of Economics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City explains the Bretton Woods System and the end of the Gold Standard in the 1970s, why comparisons to the Weimar Republic and Zimbabwe made by austerity promoters are wrong, high inflation does not happen in well functioning democracies, why we think about the deficit in the wrong way, the smart way to think about the Simpson Bowles austerity plan, the purpose of taxes, Hillary Clinton running on bringing down the debt and addressing the inequality crisis, Social Security and inequality, what Thomas Piketty misses, why labor needs to make a comeback and why fighting inequality must go beyond raising taxes at the top.
Stephanie Kelton is an Economic Advisor to the Bernie 2016 presidential campaign. She served as Chief Economist on the U.S. Senate Budget Committee (minority staff) and is Professor of Economics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Sacramento, California
Sacramento (/ˌsækrəˈmɛntoʊ/; Spanish: [sakɾaˈmento]) is the capital city of the U.S. state of California and the seat of government of Sacramento County. It is at the confluence of the Sacramento River and the American River in the northern portion of California's expansive Central Valley. Its estimated 2014 population of 485,199 made it the sixth-largest city in California. Sacramento is the cultural and economic core of the Sacramento metropolitan area, which includes seven counties with a 2010 population of 2,414,783. Its metropolitan area is the fourth largest in California after the Greater Los Angeles area, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the San Diego metropolitan area, and is the 27th largest in the United States. In 2002, the Civil Rights Project at Harvard University conducted for TIME magazine named Sacramento "America's Most Diverse City".
Sacramento became a city through the efforts of the Swiss immigrant John Sutter, Sr., his son John Sutter, Jr., and James W. Marshall. Sacramento grew quickly thanks to the protection of Sutter's Fort, which was established by Sutter in 1839. During the California Gold Rush, Sacramento was a major distribution point, a commercial and agricultural center, and a terminus for wagon trains, stagecoaches, riverboats, the telegraph, the Pony Express, and the First Transcontinental Railroad.

It's also a subtle criticism of society's lust for money and success and the lengths to which people will go to attain both. For the film's hero, Indio, the city's red-light district is a siren's song of erotic mystery. While just across the border - the "other side," as Tijuanans call it - lies a world of boundless economic possibility. In the middle resides Indio's loyalty to his underemployed but decent father, Jhonny. Which to choose? Which to choose?

Welcome to part 6 of my USA summer 2014 adventure! Initially everything was booked and planned and meaning to fly my first CRJ-700 from Charlotte to Chicago (see part 3) However after failed attempts with Lufthansa and Delta, United Express swichted it to the ERJ-145! After playing around I found another option with United to log this bird and another plane that I really wanted to log!
After 3 failed attempts I was more than happy to finally log the CRJ-700! This flight was a pretty standard regional flight within the USA that I was quite happy with! Service was ok, seats where acceptable for this 1 hour flight between Los Angeles and Sacremento! Los Angeles airport however was a bit of a shame (not United's fault) very old and dated, long lines,... nothing good to say at all

Welcome to part 7 of my Summer USA 2014 trip! After spending a few hours in the boiling and hot Sacramento it was time to fly back to Los Angeles! My first leg would be to San Francisco on the Embrear 120! A glad addition to the log, as skywest retired them all and replaced them by CRJ-200s. The only plane I don't like.
I was very happy to have this exotic addition to the log! I was even more happy that Skywest spoiled me with this livery! The flight overall was good and despite that the Embrear 120 was quite aging I really did find it more comfortable than your average US regional flight! I was surpsised to get 2 water runs as well, I was actually expecting nothing! Sacramento and San Francisco where fun airports as well

Welcome to part 6 of my USA summer 2014 adventure! Initially everything was booked and planned and meaning to fly my first CRJ-700 from Charlotte to Chicago (see part 3) However after failed attempts with Lufthansa and Delta, United Express swichted it to the ERJ-145! After playing around I found another option with United to log this bird and another plane that I really wanted to log!
After 3 failed attempts I was more than happy to finally log the CRJ-700! This flight was a pretty standard regional flight within the USA that I was quite happy with! Service was ok, seats where acceptable for this 1 hour flight between Los Angeles and Sacremento! Los Angeles airport however was a bit of a shame (not United's fault) very old and dated, long lines,... nothing good to say at all

Welcome to part 7 of my Summer USA 2014 trip! After spending a few hours in the boiling and hot Sacramento it was time to fly back to Los Angeles! My first leg would be to San Francisco on the Embrear 120! A glad addition to the log, as skywest retired them all and replaced them by CRJ-200s. The only plane I don't like.
I was very happy to have this exotic addition to the log! I was even more happy that Skywest spoiled me with this livery! The flight overall was good and despite that the Embrear 120 was quite aging I really did find it more comfortable than your average US regional flight! I was surpsised to get 2 water runs as well, I was actually expecting nothing! Sacramento and San Francisco where fun airports as well

Health care delivery, like politics, is local. How medical care is organized, delivered, and financed in California varies by region. To better understand these differences, the California HealthCare Foundation (CHCF) commissioned studies of six large and diverse regional markets.
CHCF hosted a Sacramento briefing to provide insights into local health care systems — including hopsitals, physician groups, and community clinics — as well as identify common themes and emerging issues that influence how Californians receive care. Dr. Paul Ginsburg, president of the Center for Studying Health System Change (HSC), discussed the findings from the six reports, which cover Fresno, Los Angeles, Riverside/San Bernardino, Sacramento, San Diego, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
The reports are published as part of the CHCF California Health Care Almanac, an online clearinghouse for key data and analysis examining California's medical system.

National Teen Leadership Program (NTLP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers leadership camps and one day workshops to instill important leadership concepts in our youth. NTLP was created in 1992 with just 185 teens attending a three-day camp at California State University, Sacramento. Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department stated Ono was held to the Sacramento County Jail after the deputies of the department were summoned to the couple’s apartment in the 8600 block of Florin Road. An 89-year old Sacramento man was arrested by California police linked with the killing of his 83-year old wife. Police authority reported that the man has been identified as Masaharu Ono.
Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department stated Ono was held to the Sacramento County Jail after the deputies of the department were summoned to the couple’s apartment in the 8600 block of Florin Road.
Ono called the sheriff department and reported that he found his wife dead inside the home. Sheriff’s went to the apartment and after investigating the crime screen they concluded that the victim had injuries which led to her death that were suspicious in nature. The department claimed that Ono was eventually the one to blame for the murder as there were no other suspect.
Ono is currently being held in the Sacramento County Jail without the possibility of getting a bail anytime sooner, the department said. Masaharu Ono will be taken to the court and appear in front of the Judge on Tuesday, June 9th, 2015.
According to the detectives, there are no other doubtable suspects in this case and it is one of the key reason of their claim on Ono being the prime suspect of his 83-year old wife’s murder.
The victim, Hiroko Ono has been identified by the Sacramento coroner’s office. No autopsy report of the murder victim has been released yet.

Fans took to Twitter to report that the rapper then abruptly ended the show at the Golden 1 Center after just 10 minutes and performing only two songs. Get ready to have a field day press 'cause the show's over.' Kanye barked and dropped his mic to boos from the crowd. Established in 1849, the Old Sacramento district was formed as eager miners, bankers and businessmen arrived for California's Gold Rush. Today, there are 53 historic Spanish-style buildings to explore, and many have been faithfully restored.
Old Sacramento attractions include the 1851 Big Four House, named for the founders of the First Transcontinental Railroad; and the 1853 B. F. Hastings Building, which once housed the Pony Express terminal and California's Supreme Court. During Sacramento's boom years, miners and pioneers flocked to the Eagle Theatre, which was established in 1849. This was the first permanent theater in California, and is rumored to be haunted by its former owner.
Set on 28 acres and roughly eight city blocks, Old Sacramento is packed with activities. You can tour Sacramento by electric bicycle or horse and carriage, explore the Sacramento Schoolhouse Museum, or hop aboard the California State Railroad Museum Sacramento Southern Railroad for a 40-minute train ride.
Old Sacramento was the terminus of the Transcontinental Railroad and the last stop on the Pony Express. At 2nd and J streets, you'll find the Pony Express Monument, which commemorates the 1,900-mile mail route from Missouri to Sacramento. Another monument honors Theodore Judah, the engineer who helped design the first Transcontinental Railroad.
In 1862, a record-breaking rainstorm flooded Sacramento, causing the city to raise the streets up to 14 feet by the 1870s. Underground Tours are offered through the Sacramento History Museum, where you can explore the legends that lurk beneath the city sidewalks; or you can check out Pioneer Park, which offers a glimpse at the lower levels of the city.
For a unique overnight, hang your hat at The Delta King, which is docked on the Sacramento River waterfront. This 1920s riverboat cruised between San Francisco and Sacramento until the 1940s and is one of the most unique and charming hotels in Sacramento. In 1982, the Delta King was restored to the tune of $9 million, and now boasts modern hotel rooms, a theater, wine school and two charming Old Sacramento restaurants.
One thing to remember — most of Old Town is metered parking, so you'll need some change to park. Change machines are located on almost every city block.

Of course, San Francisco sightseeing isn’t complete without an excursion to Alcatraz, the island prison that once held some of the country’s most notorious criminals. Look into its empty cells and thick stone walls and wonder, could you escape “The Rock”?

It is located at the confluence of the Sacramento River and the American River in the northern portion of California's expansive Central Valley. With an estimated 2011 population of 477,891,[3] it is the sixth-largest city in California and the 35th largest city in the United States. Sacramento is the core cultural and economic center of the Sacramento metropolitan area which includes seven counties with an estimated 2009 population of 2,527,123.[4] Its metropolitan area is the fourth largest in California after the Greater Los Angeles Area, San Francisco Bay Area, and the San Diego metropolitan area, as well as the 25th largest in the United States. Sacramento was cited by Time magazine as America's most ethnically and racially integrated city in 2002.[5][6]
Sacramento became a city through the efforts of the Swiss immigrant John Sutter, Sr., his son John Sutter, Jr., and James W. Marshall. Sacramento grew quickly thanks to the protection of Sutter's Fort, which was established by Sutter in 1839. During the California Gold Rush, Sacramento was a major distribution point, a commercial and agricultural center, and a terminus for wagon trains, stagecoaches, riverboats, the telegraph, the Pony Express, and the First Transcontinental Railroad.
California State University, Sacramento, more commonly known as Sacramento State or Sac State, is the largest local university. It is one of the twenty-three campuses of the California State University system. Drexel University Sacramento is located in Downtown, Sacramento. University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law is located in the Oak Park neighborhood. In addition, the University of California, Davis is located in nearby Davis, 15 miles (24 km) west of the capital. The UC Davis Medical Center, a world-renowned research hospital, is located in the city of Sacramento.
