12321186_924935514268393_1294286400283072091_nThe Bronx Social Center runs weekly martial arts classes, all ages and skill levels welcome. Studying martial arts is a great way for people of all ages to build:

  • Self-Defense Skills
  • Confidence
  • Discipline
  • Listening
  • Sportsmanship
  • Health & Fitness

Our classes are taught by Shihan Edgar Stephens, a respected instructor with over 30 years experience teaching in New York City. Classes build upon a Shotokan Karate base, and include elements drawn from Goju Karate, Muay Thai, Boxing, and other styles.

Our classes are free to begin, and suggested donation if you decide to stick with it. All classes are currently all-ages and co-ed, but we can make dedicated nights for women, seniors or children based on attendance and interest. If you want to feel safe walking the streets and build community power in the hood: come through!
