Take a ride down the 1,000 foot slip-and-slide that was setup by Slide the City in West Orange, NJ. 6/4/2016 (Video by Luke Nozicka & Sydney Shaw | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com)
These Sharks are known to roam all the shorelines of the East Coast at different times of year, here in NJ this is a summertime fishery. They are non aggressive species of sharks who contribute nothing to yearly totals on shark attacks in the US, although they look mean, they are harmless, just big and stupid and lazy animals that go nuts when hooked, very fun on rod and reel and the Largest fish that any shore angler on the East Coast could hope to catch!
Location- Sea Isle NJ (we are kidding, the location of this beach is highly classified)

This was 2 days of shark fishing in NJ, these fish can be found on any beach, key is to fish at dusk and at night, we left before nightfall both days due to an outrageous mosquito swarm that carried us back to our cars as soon as the sun went down, whether its green heads, no see ums or mosquitos, there is always some insect that will be trying to eat you while shark fishing.

Some footage from a recent drum trip, the day started off well getting a Drum on my 2nd cast but he was the only one we'd see again until sunset. In between, we were catching Dogfish after Dogfish which are prolific in NJ around the same time the Striped Bass and Drum are in the surf (May/June), they were finding our clams within minutes and making it very difficult to even hope to hook into any drum. My buddy Tom came out and we tried a new spot in attempt to get away from the dogfish however they were just as thick at spot #2. Luckily in the final minutes of the day got a good bite and felt the unmistakeable weight and headshakes of a Black Drum. This one was slightly larger around 25lbs whereas the first fish of the day was probably 15lbs. Any day you catch a fish off the beach is a good day, these Drum are Elusive on New Jersey beaches, however this year was better than most. Thanks for Watching!

Some footage from a recent drum trip, the day started off well getting a Drum on my 2nd cast but he was the only one we'd see again until sunset. In between, we were catching Dogfish after Dogfish which are prolific in NJ around the same time the Striped Bass and Drum are in the surf (May/June), they were finding our clams within minutes and making it very difficult to even hope to hook into any drum. My buddy Tom came out and we tried a new spot in attempt to get away from the dogfish however they were just as thick at spot #2. Luckily in the final minutes of the day got a good bite and felt the unmistakeable weight and headshakes of a Black Drum. This one was slightly larger around 25lbs whereas the first fish of the day was probably 15lbs. Any day you catch a fish off the beach is a good day, these Drum are Elusive on New Jersey beaches, however this year was better than most. Thanks for Watching!
Fresh Clams on 9/0 Octopus Hooks did the damage.
