The Director, Federal Policy will identify and analyze key U.S. federal public policy issues that could have an impact on AbbVie and lead the development of company-wide policy solutions and recommendations to address them. Working closely with the Federal Government Affairs team, the Director will oversee consultants and systems that track and monitor legislation, regulations, policies, and federal government actions that could affect AbbVie’s business. The Director will lead evaluation of policy and guide the creation of policy recommendations, to ensure a one-AbbVie approach and communicate analyses and information on changes in policies and other significant developments at the federal level and at trade associations to all relevant GA team members and key internal AbbVie stakeholders.

Director, Reimbursement & Public Policy - 1700388

The Director, Reimbursement, Federal Government Affairs represents AbbVie’s interests before the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Agency for Healthcare Research and other federal U.S. agencies. This includes designing and executing comprehensive strategies to deliver on a range of Medicare, Medicaid and other health care access policy and reimbursement goals. The Director will identify regulatory opportunities and threats, analyze their impact, and develop and lead strategies to advocate for and achieve desired results.

Director of US Healthcare Policy and Federal Affairs

The Director of US Healthcare Policy and Federal Affairs will be responsible for the federal program of CSL Behring. She/he will be responsible for understanding complex, priority-impact public policy issues that will impact the company’s goals, our customers and patients. The Director will build a network of relationships within the Congress and executive branch to execute lobbying campaigns on key initiatives that will impact CSL Behring. Additionally, the Director will review and access health care policy issues for senior management and develop recommendations on how to address such policy issues. She/he will develop policy papers and positions to advocate on behalf of CSL Behring interests within the Congress, trade and patient associations. The Director must understand CSL Behring’s business strategy, spearhead integrated legislative, regulatory and political activities to affect the outcomes of major policy issues for the company and work closely with retained Washington DC counsel in addition to counterparts from other pharmaceutical/biotech organizations. The Director will also be a company representative within trade associations and collaborate closely with patient advocacy organizations on policy initiatives.
