'Glad to get that off my chest': Dolly Parton has crowd in fits of giggles as she presents Lily Tomlin with SAG life award after Jane Fonda falls ill
Dolly Parton showed her funny side while presenting Lily Tomlin with the Life Achievement Award at the SAG Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles.
The 71-year-old actress was pressed into solo presenting duty after Jane Fonda, 79, fell ill.
Fonda, Parton and Tomlin starred together in the 1980 hit workplace comedy Nine To Five.

Parton took to the stage at the Shrine Auditorium and said Fonda wasn't able to co-present the prestigious award with her.
'She got sick at the last minute with the flu or some kind of crud,' Parton said.
'Well, I can hog the show I guess,' she quipped.
Parton said that Fonda must be 'really sick' because they've been talking to each other for weeks about honoring Tomlin together.

The country star said producers told her to be 'funny' and she delivered with an opening joke about security at the show that kept 'wanting to see my IDs'.
'Or my double-D's,' she joked.
'Glad to get that off my chest,' she added.

Tomlin earlier during a red carpet interview with THR.com said Fonda was missing the show due to strep throat.
Parton during her introduction said the trio for years have been talking about making a sequel to 9 To 5 that earned more than $100 million at the box office.
Meryl Streep, 67, nodded her head in agreement from the audience.

'Get after it or we'll have to call it 95,' quipped Parton.
Parton said she didn't know if it would happen, but made herself available for Fonda and Tomlin's hit Netflix show Grace & Frankie.
Tomlin and Fonda also were both nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for their work in Grace & Frankie.

Parton after taking the stage solo rattled off a series of jokes.
She made reference to her famous bosom and said Tomlin was 'receiving an award I'm trying to avoid, sag.'
Parton after lauding Tomlin for her work on behalf of the LGBTQ community and the homeless then introduced a video montage of the actress.

Tomlin and Parton exchanged a big hug on the stage and the country star playfully stuck her tongue out at her friend.
The star-studded audience was then treated to a hilarious acceptance speech by Tomlin.
The Life Achievement Award in recent years has been presented to Carol Burnett, Debbie Reynolds, Rita Moreno, Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore.
Former honorees have included Betty White, Clint Eastwood, Elizabeth Taylor, Gene Kelly, James Cagney, Charlton Heston, Gregory Peck and Bob Hope.
