Girls' night! Michelle Williams shines bright as she brings BFF and number one red carpet date Busy Philipps to the SAG Awards

Last time these two headed to a Hollywood awards show, things got a little messy thanks to a few too many champagnes.

Whether there will be a repeat of their Golden Globes big night out remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure Michelle Williams and Busy Philips are always setting the friendship goals bar high.

The 36-year-old Screen Actors Guild Award nominee walked down the Los Angeles red carpet hand-in-hand with gal pal Busy on Sunday night.

Friendship goals: Michelle Williams and Busy Philips attended the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday night

The pair shone - literally - as they made their way into the awards with both opting to wear heavily sequinned outfits.

Michelle - who missed out on the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role to Viola Davis - wore a embellished gown by Louis Vuitton.

The sleeveless V-neck dress featured gold, silver and black vertical stripes.

The gown clung closely to the Manchester By The Sea actress' figure but she was able to walk with ease as the dress had a split at the front and both sides.

Go for the gold in Louis Vuitton like Michelle Williams

Michelle Williams dazzled the crowd in a custom Louis Vuitton gown featuring silver and gold sequined stripes and a skinny scarf.

As the brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton, it's no question why Michelle chose the brand for her red carpet appearance. We love the ultra glam ensemble with Michelle's petite frame and short hair. The overt sex appeal of this sparkling dress is balanced with its long silhouette and 70's style scarf.

This daring look is quite a change from William's usual sweet and frilly looks. We love this bold decision and it really shows her style transition as a fashion brand ambassador.

This dress is not available online, buy you can check out the Autumn/Winter 2016 Louis Vuitton collection that most likely inspired this look (right). Or look below for similar styles! We love the red and black Milly option at Neiman Marcus!

Honour to be nominated: Michelle  missed out on the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role with Viola Davis taking home the award

Following the gown's straight lines, Michelle wore a gunmetal sequin scarf which was the same width as her stripes.

The scarf meant the actress did not need a necklace and she also avoided wearing earrings too with a ring her sole piece of jewellery.

Michelle wore the dress with a pair of black strappy heels which fastened around her ankles and had a lucite heel.

Her date Busy also wore sequins opting for a three-quarter sleeve gown which highlighted her curves.

The 37-year-old's gown was a abstract blend of purple, silver, white and grey.

Busy accessorized her look with a small purple minaudiere despite the fact having a small bag last time caused her a lot of trouble.

No repeats: At the Globes earlier this month, Busy decided to not bring keys with her as they did not fit in her bag. When she arrived home a little tipsy her husband had fallen asleep and she found herself locked out in the rain

When Busy and Michelle went to the Globes earlier this month, Busy decided to not bring keys with her as they did not fit in her bag.

When she arrived home a little tipsy her husband had fallen asleep and she found herself locked out in the rain.

On Sunday, Busy took to Instagram Stories to reassure fans there would not be a repeat as she had her keys on her this time.
