Dozens of 'disgusted' A-listers join the chorus of disapproval against Trump's 'Muslim ban' and throw their weight behind boycotting Uber and donating to the ACLU

In the wake of Trump's 'Muslim ban,' hoards of celebrities are taking to social media to condemn the executive order. Many proudly deleted their Uber app as a sign of resistance.  

A-listers such as Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Chrissy Teigen, Mark Hamill and Kerry Washington voiced their horror towards the travel restrictions and Syrian refugee bans.

Rihanna said: 'Disgusted! The news is devastating! America is being ruined right before our eyes! What an immoral pig you have to be to implement such BS!!'

Kim Kardashian continued to increase her social media presence by tweeting out a sheet of statistics from the CDC that listed what kills Americans annually.  

So many celebrities have spoken out against the ban it is almost easier to list off who hasn't said anything. 

For many celebrities, their actions are following their words. Last night,  Lyft pledged to donate $1 million to the American Civil Liberties Union in the wake of widespread protests against Donald Trump's controversial immigration executive order.

Jordan Peele and Jesse said they would not be using Uber anymore after they service advertised suspending surge prices after the taxi driver's protest

Moder Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson said he would not use Uber and would donate to the ACLU 

Janelle Monae said she would not use Uber in an effort to stop hate

John Leguizamo suggested switching from Lyft or Juno from Uber

John Legend echoed the rallying cry to 'resist' Trump's executive order

The ride-sharing company released a statement announcing the massive donation on Sunday morning. The letter was signed by the company's founders, Logan Green and John Zimmer. 

Yesterday, people were angry at  Uber for offering to drive people from JFK during the taxi ban which was in response to the executive order.

In response quite a few celebrities said they would make the switch to Lyft from Uber.

Jesse Tyler tweeted: 'Thank you @lyft! @Uber deleted! Proud of this support to the @ACLU.'  

Celebrities applauded the American Civil Liberties Union on Twitter after it won a legal battle against the immigration ban signed by President Donald Trump.

Sia, Rosie O'Donnell and Judd Apatow all promised to match up to $100,000 worth of donations to the ACLU, while Ellen Page joined the protests at Los Angeles International Airport.

Other celebrities like Sophia Bush, Jack Antonoff, and Mark Ruffalo rejoiced and shared their support, urging protesters to continue their work.  

A federal judge granted an emergency stay to prevent those who are legally allowed to enter the country from being deported. The singer Sia celebrated on Twitter

She kicked off a chain reaction by generously pledging to match donations up to $100,000 

Both O'Donnell and Judd Apatow followed suit and said they would do the same- potentially raking in a collective $600,000 between the three of them and their fans

Trump signed an executive order on Friday barring non-U.S. citizen from seven countries from entering the US for 90 days. It sparked mass protests around the country

Trump signed an executive order on Friday barring any non-U.S. citizen traveling from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia or Yemen from entering the United States for 90 days.

That included legal permanent residents - green card holders - and visa-holders from those seven countries. 

The ACLU filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of two Iraqis who were held at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, and an emergency stay was granted to prevent those who are legally allowed to enter the country from being deported.

Protesters, who gathered in airports across the country calling for detainees to be released, erupted in cheers when news of the temporary victory spread. 

Celebrities rejoiced on Twitter and urged their fans to donate to the ACLU.

The singer Sia tweeted: 'help our queer & immigrant friends. send me your donation receipts for the @aclu & I will match up to $100K'

This set off a chain reaction, with O'Donnell tweeting: 'and i will match your 100K donation sia'.

Apatow appeared to be inspired by their generosity and chimed in pledging to chip in another $100,000.

Singer songwriter Jack Antonoff promised to match donations up to $20,000, while Zach Braff showed a screen grab of what appeared to be his receipt of $25,000

Mandy Moore wrote: 'Endless gratitude to the @ACLU and protesters for fighting the good fight and staying on the right side of history.'

Parks and Recreation actor Adam Scott also celebrated the win with plenty of heart and American flag emojis, issuing his thanks to the ACLU in all caps, adding 'HIS WILL BE A LONG FIGHT--LETS KEEP IT GOING--DONATE'. 

Both he and One Tree Hill star Sophie Bush urged their followers on. She wrote: 'KEEP PROTESTING. Keep shouting. Keep defending. Keep resisting! #NoBanNoWall'

She also spread the word that immigration lawyers were needed at the airport earlier on Saturday

Mark Ruffalo also celebrated the temporary victory, writing: 'The Force is strong in the Resistence ! Thank you ACLU'
